however if everyone does that. then we will be essentially saying hey lets let mafia decide who gets lynched.

Hi Siniquity! I look forward to reading your thoughts shortly
##Unvote Zerroth ##Vote Siniquity
Yeah, I'm thinking about switching to do the same thing, but zerroth still hasn't said anything and he didn't really help town in the last game with his general inactivity.

Also RNG votes seems to me like a very stupid thing, as far as we know it could end with us killing a really active/useful player, why would we ever do that over lynching an inactive or better yet, lynching the scummiest looking player at the end of the day?
Also note that predetermined events occur at ties, do we want to force one to see what happens? (I'm honestly curious as to what the something in "In the event of a tie, something will happen" is)

Haha, it's just a random thing I found. A lot of people were mentioning rng so I thought I'd show a little website I know of.
I would not recommend voting randomly.

On a random note, my university is the one that runs random.org

This is a game based on the org, Random.org first round votes are pretty much a standard there. Not that I do it, I try to make up some reasoning even if my vote is basically random.
Finding this very interesting so far, unfortunately I've been trying to work out which Orgah each player is and forgetting to look for scum...

I wonder who is roleplaying as ATPG... Also, doesn't Romanic tend to post the tally of votes a lot?
|
Looking at some of the posts and they are striking me as scummy, then wondering if they could just be rping. Like GGQ, thought he was scummy, then realised he reminds me of Beskar.
|
Looking at BrownBear's posts, the constant use of internet memes reminds me of someone in particular..... And GGQ being Beskar does fit I guess, but what does that mean for the town?
|
I can't really think who would fit as mafia, I had an idea that moderators might be the mafia, but my role means that can't be right.

Rofl I have no idea what you guys are talking about... this is like culture clash forum mafia style! Welcome to TL mafia, by the way, glad you could join.
|
If you have any suspicions you should make a little summary of the person, so that the rest of us can tell what you're talking about and who you're referring to and see if we think it could match haha.

I still am very very confused about the whole "role" thing. Like, how does it affect the game? Has anyone played a game like this before?

Basically everybody is roleplaying a player from another forum pevergreen frequents. There have been a few games at that forum where the roles were other forum members.
|
Er, I think I read a while ago double posts are preferred to edits.
So far as I've said GGQ has come across as like Beskar, an Orgah who comes across as an outspoken, arrogant know it all (I've told him this myself, so I'm not slagging him off when he can't red it).
Coagulation reminds me of an Orgah called Sasaki Kojiro, though I'm not sure if it is roleplaying or they simply have similar styles.

So then, are we supposed to act out our roles or is that optional?

Well I think pevergreen is looking us to roleplay, but I doubt he'd wog/modkill you if you don't.

Oh ok, I didn't realize that. Time to do a little research.
