So, can I request that we put another resistance game in the queue? I don't want to host it thought as I'm busy figuring the game out, I just want to play :D

I think we should really keep hosting more normals.

There seems to be a lack of normal games recently but lots of demand for them. We have plenty of people right now to play (look at how fast the newbie games are filling up).

It'd be great if we had a single, standard semi-open setup that's hosted all the time. Constantly hosted, regardless of queue; just shuffle the hosts (or even have the same host, if there's one willing; I would be willing).

I propose c9++ for that; it's a randomized setup, inherently balanced, a mini, and always fresh. Plus, it's a normal setup, so it appeals to everyone.

I think wherebugsgo is on to something. There's recently been a lot of new people appearing on this subforum and we are kinda lacking some real normals like C9++. I really miss some normal smaller games, they're also good if people don't have all the time in the world for the bigger games. If people think that this is a good idea and that we go for it, I'd like to cohost the first couple of C9++s.

I´d like to put a game on the queue.

[M][T] Resistance 2 - Tunnel Rats

9 players, again.
Trying a different setup this time, making for a slower game.

Once sleeper cell is over, I'm fine with constantly hosting normals. Area 53 has proved to be balanced in offsite tests, how about that?

I fully agree with this. We should constantly have a small game(13p) in signups in my opinion. C9++ would be great.

Edit: This would be outside of the queue. We would simply need a list of hosts to keep hosting.

yeah agree as well. Just keep hosting standard-games while the fancy / big games are listed in here.
Another thing I really liked was last games deadline. I don't know what it's like for guys from the us but 12pm deadline is way better than 5am for me. So if it's possible get some more games with european deadlines as well that'd be awesome :p
A few mixed in from time to time would be really awesome.

Perhaps in the future this would be plausible, but what would be better is to cycle through a few good setups instead of using the same one over and over again. Lack of games right now is a hosting issue and timing issue. Hosting issue in that flamewheel is taking forever to get his game going. Timing issue in that holiday season just ended. As I said ahead of time, I'm more lenient about hosts being occupied during the holiday season and shuffling games around. Now that that's over we shoudl be back to the steady stream of games that we are typically used to. I've already shot flamewheel in the knee to get his game going.

If it still seems like this hasn't changed in a month or so then we should highly consider what you say.

Forumite, repost that once Hammer Mini starts and you will be added.

I think part of the thing I'm going after is the lack of minis as well.

All the normals recently (besides Wiggles's game) have been sized for 20 or so players. You saw how fast Wiggles's mini filled up; these types of games are really popular, especially among the newer players.

I think that it would be beneficial to have a normal mini going alongside the normal, regular sized games. People die in the normal games, the demand is high, and there still will be (IMO) a lack of normals even when Flamewheel hosts L and stuff like that.

The only problem I have is that we don't actually have a lack of hosts problem. We have a lack of games problem.

Queue Update

  • A [W] now exists for newbie games, and they will have their own separate spot on the queue. For the most part, newbie games should be for players with 3 or less games of TL mafia experience. Newbie games have an upper cap of 20 players per game (9 to 15 should be the standard). Same rules for other types of games apply as usual.

  • Updated the OP "How does this affect me as a host?" section. We now have the implementation as I discussed recently. If you want to host you must play in at least 5 games on TL mafia, and cohost. Then you send me a PM with a paragraph or two (along with your 5 games) explaining why you should be a host and what you can contribute to our community (nothing fancy obviously).

  • Made the list of approved hosts in alphabetical order. I purposely did not include people who hosted a long time ago to save space. If you are not on the list and feel you should be shoot me a PM, I obviously may have missed a few people as I wrote the list really fast.

  • Small minor changes to other sections of OP to account for new system.

Edit: list of hosts is alphabetical except for Qatol

I was the only one who commented on his idea to have an "allowed hosts" list. I demanded a reward!

I have always said it. If we want normal games just add it to the OP and ask someone to host it. If it ever needs to be done I am almost always willing to host. This semester might be different since I was already taking a full course load but I might up up somewhere in the ballpark of 24 credits -_-, but any other time I am usually fine.
Edit: I also need a cohost.
