How does everyone feel about a noob hosting a game? I'm not very good but I'm really enjoying Mafia and would love to get more involved. I have some ideas for a normal game but with a theme, kind of like DoctorHelvetica's Pokemafia.

Would it be ok in theory for me to host a game and to possibly get someone experienced to cohost and help balance it? I am very active and would certainly be around to keep things updated.

I don't see why this would be a problem, especially if you have an experienced co-host and you start small. Flamewheel only played in 2-3 games before hosting the first time. I recommend starting with a mini game and working your way up from there. I don't have time to cohost, but I can take a look at a proposed setup if you want.

The setup I was looking at was around 30 players give or take a couple. There aren't any normal games on the list of current games which was why I was looking at that many, but I can understand taking the step of doing a mini first!

I'm going to wait for a little bit. Qatol recommends I do a mini first, the other option is to cohost a large game. GMarshal has offered for me to cohost with him at some point in the future so I'll try and do that first.

Should I end up going ahead with it, will be a normal game.

lol I fail at roman numerals... XL sure does sound impressive though.

Varpulis that would be absolutely fine, this will be an especially good game to start with because the setup will be as normal as possible. I'll PM you when we get closer to the start and we can talk roles and all that fun stuff.

Great! I think I'll be done with finals by then. The game is most likely not going to be starting until after the first week of June, correct? (not really a problem if it is, but just wondering)

Put me on for Real Time Mafia in around a month. Beginning of June it will start. The game will be a cross between theme and normal. Tentatively I plan to use normal roles and just execute all actions in real time. As soon as a mod gets the PM we execute the action and it happens in game.

I plan to have 2-3 cohosts and for the game to be 20~ players.

Since I seem to be the only person who likes minis, can we add [M]No Flip MiniMafia to the cue? As the name indicates it will be no flip and will have a couple really theme elements I need to test for Imbalanced mafia. Scheduled to start when SNMM2 ends, assuming LSB dosn't want to host before me.
