The point I'm trying to make is that this isn't about "did his play make the game worse for others" or even "did his play personally inconvenience Cora and cause the game to end quickly" but rather "was he playing maliciously" if we ban people for playing poorly, but not maliciously, that's just brutal and vindictive. we all have bad games. If he was trying to troll, though, or trying to make the game unplayable for his scum teammate, and had malicious intent, then he absolutely deserves a ban. I can't imagine a situation where he deserves a warning. Either he played maliciously or he didn't-- if he played maliciously, he shoudl be banned. If he didn't play maliciously, then it doesn't matter that it inconvenienced you personally, he doesn't deserve a punishment. It's also worth noting his scum teammate, the one besides him who was alive in the game, doesn't seem to think he should be banned, but really it's up to you to say "the guy acted maliciously and should be banned" or "the guy didn't act maliciously, and although his poor play dicked things up for his team, he does not deserve any punishment" no middle ground. he was malicious or he wasn't. | ||

Not trying to throw anyone under the bus here, but I'd say Z-B did this. Anything can happen in mafia...even with spectacular town play, a scum team can fight back with persistence and skill. Being outed in thread by posting the scum QT was totally unfair for the rest of the scum team imo. Concession is a TEAM decision. It's one thing for an individual scum member to screw up and out himself, but quite another to betray the identity of the remainder of his team without their consent. It doesn't matter whether rayn wanted to play it out or not...it matters that he didn't even get to make that choice. I see this as playing against ones wincon. However small, the rest of the scum team could have won, and hence also give Z-B a win. His actions definitively ended the game for his team...he chose a zero percent chance to win over a non-zero percent chance to win. | ||

Well, he'd already claimed the team to a townie. So Rayn would have had to play mindblowingly fantasticularly to even survive the next lynch after ZBo's death, let alone survive 2 or 3 (don't know how the balance works out) subsequent lynches. While I don't support an undiscussed surrender, I don't see how Rayn could have won that game, so /shrug. As for when posting scumQT is a good thing: check out the last PTP (and my nomination of austin for his claim). Posting your scumQT in the thread: the new TL Mafia meta? :D | ||
