Taking those sports out of the Olympics would be a HORRIBLE decision. They are huge events, some of the most popular events. You are essentially punishing those sports for having a legit, strong professional scene by taking them out of the Olympics.

I think it would suck if they removed those two sports. And I would hate golfing at the Rio 2016 TT especially in soccer the thing is that noone involved with soccer cares. They even managed to ban the real soccer teams and only players under 21 or something may participate. This is purely because the responsible soccer people care more about their training. The same thing is the NBA currently lobbying for, they too dont want their players at the olympics. Well, and my opinion is, if the sport doesnt want to be there, remove it. Also, i dont know about those being the most popular sports. I know that in germany noone watched olympic soccer.

I wonder why they wear those flesh-colored pantyhoses instead of going bare legged like their artistic gymnastic counterparts, though. Because they perform with subjects, which could potentially lead to problems when connecting with bare legs.

It's going to be a lifetime memory for any competitor that goes, regardless of the sport. Removing sports in favor of other sports just means that some people will never go and others will; you aren't depriving someone who's already been of a memory or achievement any more than you're doing so for athletes that never go because their sport isn't an Olympic events. If anything, I'd remove the sports that have extremely low levels of parity (e.g. Basketball).

We truly don't care here for the men's tournament (which is actually the reason why we don't qualify, they don't really try), never have. Women would have been another matter, it is a bigger tournament for them and it was a huge upset we couldn't qualify.

That's new to me. | ||

And by your definition we'd have to remove several popular events from the olympics.

Andy Murray's gold is the biggest victory he's ever had only because he's never won a grand slam. He'd trade that gold for victory at Wimbledon in a heart beat. A heart beat. Look at Nadal, he pulled out of the Olympics to give himself some rest in the lead up to the US Open. He's already won gold, so why bother going for a second?

Hats off to Gary Barlow for turning up 24hours after losing his baby daughter! 1 slight downer was having Jessie J singing Queen, fml can't have a girl singing that, don't care if the female would have been the best singer in the world, it had to be a man cover, or just play a picture of Freddie singng it. GG YO, lets go to RIOOOOO ITS CARNIVAL :3
