Edit: So the best runners always win in the end? I mean, even if you're a superb swimmer, you're never going to get enough of an advantage to carry you through both biking and running. And excellent bikers attacking still have to deal with a chasing "peloton" and possibly run out of steam for running by going solo on the bike. | ||

If you are an excellent swimmer you will be able to get a very good placement before the cycling and that is extremely important! Being good at cycling is more or less completely unimportant. Sure, you can save some power, but after it was made legal to take pace, it is mostly irrelevant. The running would be very important, no matter what since it is where you can make the big differences. | ||
