All he does is parrot monte. God damn can I get some crumbzz if only for some diversity.
To be fair, he did predict Pain > CLG, so he was original there... it just wasn't a very smart prediction.
His predictions have been horrible so far lol. Honestly it sounds like he didn't bother to prepare for the analyst at all, it has been very lazy. Hope he's off the desk, personally feel someone like Froggen would have brought more to the table if we really needed a EU personality for worlds/
his predictions have been the same as the other analysts except for this pain vs clg game lol
The analyst desk as whole has been dreadful XD
Kind of agree with this. I'm fine with Monte having a much higher opinion of China and Korea compared to western teams, but having the other two casters just agreeing with him all the time is lame, especially if they're going to be getting a fair number of those aligned predictions turn out to be wrong. Many here chew Rito out for having a big western bias, but looking at the analyst desk predictions vs. actual results, the analyst desk seems to have a uniform asian bias, and the uniformity bothers me more than the bias itself.
I second this. I mean of course LGD - Origen is something you can't predict, but C9 - AHQ was just ridiculous IMO. NA is still a major region people and the news leaking through from the scrim results seemed to suggest that AHQ were performing inconsistent. Go against the grain!
The Phreak & Doa cast was pretty painful, I hope we don't see that again. They're trying so hard to out-pun each other (or at least Phreak is) and they're taking away from the game itself. It's funny for like... 3 minutes. After that it's just a distraction.

They were doing all the right things, just some small mistakes that I am going to chalk up to first day nerves (classic TSM starting off slow). Really hope they can pick it up for the rest the games. They are still playing a little bit too scared, and I feel like if they can be a little more proactive they can definitely take out the teams in group D.
TSM FIGHTING!
really? i thought like it was disastrous, just painful to watch. nothing positive i can say about that game from tsm's side. yes bjerg got ahead in the laning phase but that's about it. he did nothing with his advantage, and the tf were horrible. dunno man and with og beating LGD, this looks very grim for tsm

For BKT vs SKT1, I believe a distraction was appropriate

TSM should be doing better if Bjergsen nukes a carry rather than a tanky support next time
While we're talking about Monte can I just take a second here to quote the most insightful poster on LiquidLegends

The game was over and done before laning ended. They have to do something to keep people busy other then comment how much of a stomp it is.

Yeah it sucks that TSM didn't start out strong but I also still think they will make it out of groups. Certainly they will win at least one game. Still can't believe people thought they wouldn't win a single game after the draw.

what was there to take from the game? skt vs bkt was dreadful.

I would have agreed with this before instead of your 'tsm will make it out of groups 100%'. I thought TSM could take 1-2 games as well before and after today.
Idk sometimes you just got to be bold, but I still do think they will make it out.
Pretty cool OG came to the party. I have them ranked 2nd in the group with LGD first. KT looked decent but Nagne is such deadweight early that if they played a team that knew how to do anything it may have been rough. TSM looks the same they did vs CLG which is pretty horrible. Nothing seemed to get fixed in the weeks of practice. Still got time but looks like OG/LGD/KT will be fighting for the top spots.
There's a chance Origen could be 2-0 tomorrow and LGD/TSM could be 0-2. That'd give OG a pretty significant lead. Obviously there's also a not unrealistic chance everyone in the group is 1-1 after tomorrow so we'll have to wait and see.

Nothing positive is exaggerated I feel. tsm put some decent pressure on at some point (when they took the mid outer turret). But overall i agree it didn't look good. It's a pity that directly after that they stand in a warded brush, Santorin doesn't seem to understand the situation and reacts late and chooses an inefficient (at best) escape path, so summday could initiate. After that tsm lost complete control of the game. Overall, if you look at the kills in small skirmishes, someone from tsm is always out of position. For example, at 33 minutes, score gets caught out by 3 of tsm's people. He escapes and those 3 continue to move into kt's sideof the river, over which they had no control. Note they didn't exactly know where both summday and score exactly went after they went out of ward range. Bjergsen and santorin were not in any position to back them up. KT notices this, collaps at their location, and get two kills. (During this all, santorin and wildturtle took some routes i didn't understand, but i doubt that would've made much of a difference) Piccaboo had a good initiation there as well, but that's no excuse. I got the impression that tsm during the game lacked the knowledge on where they could or could not walk given their information at that time. I would not classify that as 'minor mistakes', but a deeper underlying problem.
I'm a very very bad player though, but this is just my impression of the game.
