Unfounded matchfixing accusations are not welcome. Refrain from making off-the-wall accusations without concrete evidence. |

NJWS is a fraud and they'll be revealed for what they are
Zefa and Watch were on steroids and they are now back to being the random average shitters they've always been
Save will not be enough, and every single ggoong's champ has fallen out of meta (nidalee, LB, TF, Gragas, Kass), it doesn't take 4 games on Ahri/Zed to suddenly give him a good enough champion pool

Wait what is this.
Now I really want OMG to make it through.

Well Froggen does have a tendency to put more emphasis on powerfarming during lane phase than on getting kills/denying, though I suppose having Shook as a jungler has changed that a bit. I don't think Shook stacks up very well against Meteos however so it will be interesting to see how the matchup plays out - the 2v2 is probably pretty even while Froggen > Hai and Meteos > Shook (unless Shook goes full bedshitter mode, in which case [A] are fucked).

To the actual matchup, I think C9 and Alliance are close, but I think Alliance has a slight edge.

SSB and OMG for C and for D I think ALL then NJWS. I agree that Shield's bot lane isn't very good but I don't think Sneaky and Lemon are particularly good at crushing lane against weaker opponents. Save is going to body Balls so hard. I just can't see NJWS losing to C9 twice, and if Alliance shows up in top form they should take the group imo.

that will be the group koreans drop a game, c9 or alliance can take a game off najin

The only way NJWS is dropping a game is if ggoong wants to play yasuo.

Right. I have money on LMQ beating Fnatic head to head, don't let me down XWX.

Predictions for first round of games? OMG, NJWS, SSB, ALL, LMQ, C9. The Alliance C9 game is probably going to be the closest one. I'm interested to see how both teams have developed since their bootcamp. LMQ OMG may be close as well.

Group C: Heart says LMQ/OMG, brain doesn't know what to think. Group D -- I hope Shield continues their form from regionals simply because I like seeing interesting comps (looking forward to the show they'll put on later today~) + Watch <3 but otherwise I don't care particularly for any of the teams in D.
Day 1 Predictions: LMQ < OMG C9 < ALL FNC > LMQ Kabum to suffer the same fate as DP and be eliminated 0-4.

Wow @_@ that's bold because ... I don't even know if LMQ has a coach atm lol. Their management is a REAL clusterfuck from what I hear.

I cheer against Fnatic because they've fucked me over in every (the only two) fantasy leagues I've played
Which honestly means that they'll probably do pretty well since past results and season standings are about as good of a metric as we have for predicting future success that doesn't delve into unverifiable "expert" opinion (the other metric being a scoring based on number of koreans and chinese player h4h4h4)

Hopefully they've mastered the Royal art of shrugging off drama to continue performing well.

Each team plays 30 games? That's 240 games in the group stage alone. That's as many as you have in an entire LCS split. That would be some grueling endurance. Even in The Invitational, the teams only played 15 games in the group stage. Even assuming you split this over 2 weekends, each team would basically play 4 games a day. If you split it over 2 weeks, they'd still play 2 games a day, every day, for those two weeks. ... then the playoff bracket would start. Each team plays 15 my bad. Even then you end up with an imbalance where every team plays an extra game on either blue side or red side. Since blue side is at least 55-45 favored (see earlier post on this page) and as high as 72-28 favored, then it's a major advantage to have 8 blue side games instead of 7. Additionally, if you only have a single round-robin, if you get to play the hardest teams while on Blue Side, then you will have an inflated record over another team that played the hardest teams on Red Side. I don't say this to unduly call you out. I say this to show that it's non-trivial to come up with a fair and feasible solution to how to organize Worlds. Don't really get why you saying how "unfeasible" a format it is when he just said to copy the TI4 format so clearly it's not unfeasible. The "fair" was about using the exact TI format, because of the imbalance of Red and Blue sides. The "feasible" was about his first suggestion to do a double round-robin (240 games).
Dire is considered imbalanced in Dota2 and yet no one complained about the imbalance at TI4.
