Match viewers have a very narrow view of what actually is going on for a team. It's too simple to say that because Coast placed second in Spring Split with Jintae in playoffs (mind you, they were 6th in season), and have placed significantly worse in other splits with Shiphtur, that Shiphtur is the reason. It could just as well be that the other teams improved, which is corroborated in that Curse and Dignitas both had very dominant periods in Spring Split and then fell off in Summer Split. Likewise, teams like Cloud 9 and Vulcun came to dominance in Summer Split. In my opinion, Coast just looks worse with Shiphtur than with Jintae because Coast as a whole got overshadowed by the other teams, and possibly because they just were on a hot streak in Spring playoffs and weren't actually as good as they placed. | ||
