Well, we'll see! For some reason I always enjoy watching NA LCS far more than EU LCS even though I'm European... Somehow it's a lot more entertaining. That's because EU teams don't just have a throw off to see which team can mess up the best, thus NA more entertaining.
...And this is coming from an NA fan . (Well I guess technically CN fan first because I'm ethnically Chinese but oh well).

Since CLG has no hype at all going into this I think they might actually do decent now
Oh I just realized we don't even know who their jungler will be for the time being, right?

Last season I found NA way more entertaining because you never really knew who would win because there was always a chance the other team would throw unless it was C9 or VES. EU felt pretty snowbally for the most part. Going into the game either team had a chance to win, but 10 minutes into the game you had a pretty good idea of who was ahead (I realize this wasn't always the case, but teams were really good at pushing advantages).
This EU super week though was awesome. There was relative parity between teams, and most of the games were really close in gold pretty late into the game. The level of play was just awesome too. If EU keeps up like that, it may supplant NA for me just because so many games were well played and down to the wire. I think Riot did a pretty awesome job with the preseason in terms of spectator experience, and I hope they don't do any more of this enforcing the meta shit that's being introduced on 4.1 - the 2v1 lane game yesterday was really interesting and I'm sad that'll be removed as an option next patch.

EG is getting rated way too high here imo. I spectated one of their scrims, and they were getting destroyed by Curse Academy. Krepo himself said on his stream that they are not good atm and that they have some serious issues they have to resolve asap. Of course you never know, maybe they have done just that in 2 days.

I tend to not put too much stock into scrims because I think teams use them to experiment or get their bearings. Likewise Krepo doesn't seem like the kind of guy to come out and say "we're awesome and going to destroy everyone". I'm willing to believe they're in the middle of the pack, but I'd be surprised if they're on the bottom at the end of the season (they could have a shitty superweek though if they do, in fact, have serious issues). They seem like players who actually have brains, which can take you a long way in NA.

Someone just posted it above :D Because i read about Aphromoo top, Nien jungle and Hotshot as support, Link as jungle and HSGG as mid and HotshotGG as jungle.
Just curious what to expect.

hotshot playing?
not sure if 4v6 is the best strat for LCS

I don't know if it's actually confirmed, but there's been a great deal of speculation that it's Link jungle HSGG mid.
EDIT: If Jiji is still a CLG sub though, I'd imagine it's him.

My #1 hope for this thread is that we can make it at least through the first day without comparing NA talent to EU/Korea/China. Let those of us who like watching the redheaded stepchildren of LoL enjoy ourselves in peace.

while they are at it, lets bring elementz back too.
Or rehire SV, he played like 20 support soloqueue games, so he is good to go.

But I agree, this is a regional tournament and as such it is interesting in itself. And tehse comparisons are quite pointless as Riot has killed international competition except for once a year.

Guess, Pobelter is trolling but he just called that Kobe is gonna reprise his experience as CLG's jungler.

Excep people generally are quite bad as that and judge the plays more by the preconceived notions they have about the regions. To break your hopes right away, I don't even think NA has that much of a talent problem as it is often made out. I don't see myself in the position to actually judge it, but history seems to imply that NA teams are just bad at recognizing and picking up talent. The C9 players have been around for so long and no one decided to poach them (I think CLG could have solved some of their roster issues by just picking up Meteos, other LCS teams too) and the recent disheartening case of XDG rather sending Zuna jungle than kicking him and using Robert... Eventually a second Cloud 9 will probably come along.
