Coast will be in top-4, no doubt. They had big difficulties in ban/pick phase last split, and Alex Penn will help them in fixing it. Remember, how did Cloud9 go for 25-3. 3/4 of those games were won in ban/pick phase basically.
C9, TSM are top-2 for sure. Dignitas and Curse - bottom-2. If CLG don't go 0-4 this week, i probably will have nuff courage to put them in top-4 with Coast, if 0-4, then 5th place. XDG will need time, EG can struggle as well if Pobelter is going to be forced out of his comfort zone.
Something like that.

Well maybe people should wait with hating on a team until they have actually played.

I doubt Dig will even be in the LCS next season

SO, if anyone would like to actually LR Day 1 and/or keep track of the picks, bans, and polls today? If so, PM me and you'll have my eternal gratitude.

I could see it shaping like this:
Top 2: C9, TSM Mid 3: XDG, EG, CLG Bot 3: Crs, Dig, Coast

One thing I hope happens is that EG gets shit on or innox/pobelter carry 2v5 because now that alliance are sucking people are getting this retarded idea that snoopeh/yolopete are actually good.

Don't feel like you have to. P/Bs and polls are way more important, and feel free to pick whichever one you want.

So who would the biggest favorites be entering this? I'm not that familiar with the NA scene recently. Cloud 9 still way above everyone? Maybe TSM would be the second favorite?

The general consensus is bjergsen powered TSM and C9 are the overwhelming favourites, CLG/CST/XDG/EG will be slapfighting for the middle rankings and dig/crs are dead meat.

i can't wait any longer, plz unleash the hotshotgg already

Most likely. Bjergsen is an upgrade for TSM skillwise and their botlane is still scary. We can't be sure how TSM's shotcalling works now.
Cloud 9 looked strong against Fnatic. The only question is how S4 effects Meteos' jungle and maybe if Balls can be efficient in the tank meta.
CLG is a mess.
Zuna and Xmithie switched positions at ex-Vulcun. They should have gotten rid of Zuna and pick up RobertxLee or another competent adc. They are expected to start slowly.
Coast should climb up this split.
EG will be shaky. Anything from 3rd to 8th is possible.
Dig is stupid.
Curse improved at top and jungle. Voyboy hasn't looked well at mid so far. Cop's still on the team. Overall close to EG I guess.

Hmm I guess my assumptions were about correct then in top 2 and bottom 2, although I still don't have a clear picture for the middle 4.
Well, we'll see! For some reason I always enjoy watching NA LCS far more than EU LCS even though I'm European... Somehow it's a lot more entertaining.

I can try and put my negativity in my pocket to do some LRing, and the picks/bans. I don't think I'll do all the games though, it ends at something like 4 AM for me (according to schedule, so you can add 2 hours) and I need sleep.

Imagine what will happen if Dignitas suddenly goes 4-0.

a meteor probably smashes into the lcs studio just before they kill the nexus for the 4th win
I'm just hoping Dig and CLG can stay out of relegation, but it's really hard to keep believing that a lot of the time

Predictions/Thoughts
I'm still rooting for Dig (I'm a masochist) even though I don't expect them to do that much. They really need a revamp though, and maybe a bad split will make them realize it.
C9 will still be strong. One of their biggest strengths seems to be adapting to the metagame, plus they know how to teamfight which gives them an advantage over almost every NA team.
The decision to switch Zuna and Xmithie really blows my mind. You don't try to fix your problems (late-game shotcalling) by taking away your strengths (Xmithie's early game and synergy with the laners). Half of the time XGDD had a lead to throw BECAUSE Xmithie got the lanes fed. It's just stupid, they're not putting their players in a position to succeed, which is a big no-no in any sport.
Coast should be pretty good this split so long as Zion can be convinced to play Mundo/Shyv/etc instead of just split pushing on Riven/Trynd/etc. I didn't see much of their challenger games, but I imagine he's up to date with the tank meta by now.
EG clearly inherited the brains of EUEG. If Pobelter and Innox come as advertised I think they'll be right in the middle of the pack, if not near the top. I haven't seen enough of them playing to really know how they'll compete with C9 or TSM.
I can see TSM winning this split depending on how their teamfighting and communication evolves. At worlds they got picked apart after teams realized they could camp Dyrus and have their midlaner play safe since Oddone was constantly babysitting Regi. Bjergsen needs no babysitting, and is strong enough to draw jungle pressure mid. With every lane looking pretty powerful it's just going to come down to rotations, objectives, and teamfights. If TSM can avoid being Alliance they should be in a great position.
I don't think Crs will benefit that much from having Voy in mid. Maybe last season when assassins were huge it would've been a good idea, but he hasn't looked to strong there so far. Quas is clearly a great player, but I'm not convinced they're better off with him in top rather than mid - he did play Mundo a bunch before the preseason patch though. IWD should be an upgrade from Saint, but Zekent is a downgrade from Edward.
CLG is a mystery to me. With Hotshot mid, and Link jungle for superweek I don't really expect them to do too much. Still, that team is so weird I can see them going 4-0 this week, getting Dexter back and then losing for the rest of the season. (In all seriousness though, it depends on if Montecristo has beaten the concept of fighting for objectives into them yet.)

My gut feeling is they will be average right now, play well while Monte is in NA, then go back to average or even get worse than that after he leaves again for Korea.

They were just hiding all their secret strats at BotA. Scarra on Heimer mid. Quinn/Swain botlane.
