Two things as public notice: 1. + Show Spoiler [Quarterfinals 1 spoiler] +Congrats to Fnatic, they played superbly and glgl to them in the Semis! No one is saying that Fnatic only won because of the level 1 in Game 3. Please keep the nationalistic statements out of our subforum. 2. Riot's Worlds format is atrocious. Let's not beat a dead horse here. I will certainly be talking to Riot's eSports dept about it in the near future. I simply ask everyone to be civil. Humble in victory, graceful in defeat. Enjoy the games~ -Neo, Sept 23rd, 3:20 PM PDT, page 120 |

I wouldn't favour them over Royal or OMG based on this series. However, Expession hasn't shown much of his potential yet.
It was in an online/offline hybrid tournament called Stars War League Season 8 that happened earlier this year. Although there were much technical difficulties due to its mostly online format, based purely on their performance, out of various elite AD carries that participated such as Uzi, Imp, PraY, Namei, and Bebe, it seemed to me as if Uzi was a cut above any of them. He really was something out of this world.

Well, to be honest, the other (and IMO real) weakness is that if your lanes are not stronger than the other lanes the whole team can get irreparably behind. Also, Meteos never picked Nasus (and ZAC is not FOTM anymore), so the extra farm is not as sexy on Nocturne (unless you get some damage) or Elise. They lost 3 Games in the NA LCS, and they were all because of LVL 1 fuckups, and/or laners not being safe enough.

I just saw the series of Fnatic vs C9 and all i have to say is EU > NA.
Must be really hard to be a fanboy of the worst region, sorry for u NA fans .

If you rearrange the games, so that game 3 was switched with game 1. There would be a vastly different opinion of C9 in that fnatic series.
Although I don't think it's directly coordinated with "blue side op'd", but blue side clearly has had an advantage ever since LoL beta, and it still hasn't been fixed. And in something like a Bo3, blue side advantage is HUGE.

The lvl 1 is bad. Plus, its not like we don't know that farming jungle is viable. inSec basically re-invented it. It has pros and cons, but you can only take advantage of the pros if your team doesn't screw up, which, as I said, C9 has done (majorly) in all 5 of their losses since they became S3 pros.

gg wp to sword, fell asleep before game 3, dem Nidalee spears man. But yeah the main problem was that voidle and genja suck and got owned 3 games in a row, felt like because of all the zyra and sona picks voidle forgot that thresh is still ridiculous.
Dunno but losing against an AP Nid & Nunu Jungle team is kinda sad mang. Bring back edward!

i dont know whats with all the c9 bashing honestly c9 could have taken this on any other day; in terms of pure skill, these two teams are incredibly close as you saw by the first two games. the thing is fnatic had a strategy in mind that completely snowballed the game. im sure if c9 had that kind of start for meteos, they would have snowballed the game just as hard. cloud 9 can absolutely compete on an international level, they just got unlucky by being a smidgen worse than a red hot fnatic on the day of their game

Fnatic just had an unlucky day, and that's why they even dropped a game to C9. Take your NA bandwagon back to the sad little region NA is. + Show Spoiler +

Could have would have etc. Problem is you could say the same for Fnatic, why pick a TF into a Fizz ... both had great showings and in the end the slightly better team won imo. (though as European that makes this point non valid ofc)
I honestly feel sorry for C9 that they only got 3 games into worlds, because i would like to see how there style holds up to the aggresion of the asian teams. I have a feeling they will be back next worlds, to bad we have to wait that long for the international clashing again. Unless we actualy call All-Stars a thing that is relevent.
On a bashing non relevent note ... It took TSM 3 months to try and find a way to beat C9 yet utterly fail, it took Fnatic 1 day to succeed
Ach talk about death horse bashing, my posting is crap. time for a coffee.

A competent mid-laner will do that for a team.

I think fnatic killed Meteos more in 3 games than half of the NA LCS combined all season.

Those were really highly contested games outside game 3 which was pretty much decided by level 1. After the level 1 happened it's up to fnatic not to throw, and nocturne jungle would have such a hard time making plays with the double teleports up at level 6.
Was really surprised how close it was in the two first games considering you can snowball small advantages, but it seemed like the stylistic differences ended up meaning each team would make trades, scaled differently, and both team fought incredibly well leading to even trades all game.
The obvious counter to teleports is ganking the players with the teleport or making them use teleport before a crucial moment but that ended up being really difficult.
I think cloud 9's game theory that vision wards are too big of an investment/risk is poorly misguided. Honestly it's not important at all for the support to farm up items and it seemed like that's what they were trying to do with the lack of vision they had. I think they could have won game 3 with proper warding from lemonnation and the rest of the players. If the opponent realizes you don't have vision wards or that many wards all they do is scale back the warding to match yours but still gain a vision lead.
