Two things as public notice: 1. + Show Spoiler [Quarterfinals 1 spoiler] +Congrats to Fnatic, they played superbly and glgl to them in the Semis! No one is saying that Fnatic only won because of the level 1 in Game 3. Please keep the nationalistic statements out of our subforum. 2. Riot's Worlds format is atrocious. Let's not beat a dead horse here. I will certainly be talking to Riot's eSports dept about it in the near future. I simply ask everyone to be civil. Humble in victory, graceful in defeat. Enjoy the games~ -Neo, Sept 23rd, 3:20 PM PDT, page 120 |

Jeez. sounds like you're just spouting out bs now as far as i can tell That's a great arguement why Balls didn't back off, thanks. At least blame it on the 2-0 or something... wussleeQ called you out because it sounds like you're saying Ballz thought, "If I die now I'm not giving first blood, so it's okay." That doesn't make any sense whatsoever. No, I was pointing out the fact that Balls basically suicided, and it had nothing to do with that lvl 1 "fight". Up to that point, Fnatic didn't really do anything, Puszu almost died to Meteos lol. Retrospect is 20/20. Stop with the insinuations. It's getting annoying, Volband.

And this agan shows how retarded Riots format was with seeding teams into the quarters. We only saw C9m against 1 team and we still didnt see them again Asians, wont see that for a long time actually.
God dammit I want more international tournaments.
Everyone does but bitching and moaning about it in here isn't going to change anything as Neo pointed out in the mod note.

Yes yes rip into that traitor doublelift.

yeah i want more international tournaments so bad, i dont understand why they just have lcs games at iems/mlgs/dreamhacks when they can have awesome international tournaments year round. more international games = more growth for every region and more happy fans. its a win win

really good 2 games! both were incredibly close, i would even say first was much closer than second. but 3rd game.. well that was good call from fnatic to rush that bush and flank Zyra and Corki and flash from yellowstar with stun was nice too - u could hear after the game Fnatic screaming 'shes gonna flash shes gonna flash' - then yellowstar flashes in and stuns her! so i would say it was rather fnatic good strategy than luck that won the game. not to mention countless picks in jungle from leona stuns. ofc i read that we arent supposed to flame the format, nevertheless ive to say that a bo5 quaters would be much better or ATLEAST loser bracket. looking forward for gambit vs najin!

Depending on the performance of Royal/OMG, Fnatic has a pretty good shot at being a contender. They have a working and effective playstyle, all things considered. Time to see how NJBS stacks up.
Hoping for S4 to be given a whole new rework in terms of format, and more than 2 LCS seasons.

huehuehue Krepo, swords do have edges.
In other news, since they're so unscoutable does anyone know any of their tendencies from that NLB tournament? I haven't seen any of their games and didn't have time to do much research of my own -.-

Honestly, even with the level 1 issue, there were just mistakes that Cloud 9 continued to make that allowed Fnatic to snowball as fast as they did. Like the analysis desk said, if c9 sat back and played a more passive/defensive game their team composition did seem stronger than the pick/assassin composition that Fnatic was playing.
And this is just my opinion, but this probably highlights more-so a fundamental issue that Riot's been pushing more and more as of late: with small but significant changes to the various champs (especially the mid lane ones) it's allowing these pick/assassin champs to shine. Granted, I think I'm ok with it, as assassin champs are inherently dangerous, as if they get shut down they're useless in mid/late game. It's a fundamental choice that these teams are deciding: that a high-risk, high-reward, skill intensive champion is better/stronger than a more team-heavy/wombo combo team fight composition.
Also, so much dirt being thrown on Doublelift.

Well the New York stock exchange will pretty go down after this results.

Look at Lemon Dogs - if they had some international experience, they could've finished 2nd in group A, but instead they looked pretty terrible and inconsistent. Not only C9 is somewhat weaker than Fnatic right now (can't really tell how much), the lack of experience is obviously getting a bigger problem from game to game during a set.
I think in game 2 they showed they are still that C9 we saw during NA LCS, and you can't just discount them.

Choo choo! Strongest train by far this tournament imo.

So glad Neo put up that note at the top. Some people can seriously be so annoying when they win. From every region.
I'm fine with joking around, but some people are actually being serious, which is very confusing to me. Anyway, glad SKT is playing today, only other team I really care about at worlds this year.
Edit: Im dumb as hell.
