[S3 Worlds] Quarterfinals - Page 124

Two things as public notice:
1. + Show Spoiler [Quarterfinals 1 spoiler] +
Congrats to Fnatic, they played superbly and glgl to them in the Semis!
No one is saying that Fnatic only won because of the level 1 in Game 3. Please keep the nationalistic statements out of our subforum.

2. Riot's Worlds format is atrocious. Let's not beat a dead horse here. I will certainly be talking to Riot's eSports dept about it in the near future.

I simply ask everyone to be civil. Humble in victory, graceful in defeat.
Enjoy the games~

Expession + Watch for my Fantasy team

Though it would be fun to have 2 EU teams in semis, proving that EU is best region lol.

That's a great arguement why Balls didn't back off, thanks. At least blame it on the 2-0 or something...

wussleeQ called you out because it sounds like you're saying Ballz thought, "If I die now I'm not giving first blood, so it's okay." That doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

No, I was pointing out the fact that Balls basically suicided, and it had nothing to do with that lvl 1 "fight". Up to that point, Fnatic didn't really do anything, Puszu almost died to Meteos lol.

I have to agree. The level one play gave very little to fnatic and the meteos gank around level 3 or 4 almost got their botlane back into the game, puszu got very lucky with fear pulling him to tower. The ballz play was pretty stupid indeed but I guess he didnt see the blood going into the bush. The first dragon was really when fnatic started taking the game because C9 did nothing to react, not even pulling shen ult. The only shen ult i remember in the first 15 mins was when he tped bot to get an assist (lemon died before he arrived) and just traded bot turret for top cause he basically lost turret for using ult. I think he should stay top defend turret and bot would still take tower.

Korean stream has been hilarious. Cloud Templar has been rooting hard for C9 with quotes like "We junglers have rights. We have the rights to blue, playing selfish, and all junglers should be rooting for C9" "The revolution has failed"

C9 are a team that has literally never been in a losing situation. The only lan experience they have is beating dignitas and shitting on an underperforming tsm at regionals. This isn't that weird honestly. They performed ok given the situation. If they were in group b instead of vulcun they would've performed a lot better this tournament imo.

Retrospect is 20/20. Stop with the insinuations. It's getting annoying, Volband.

All I'm saying there were individual weaknesses, and it was not forced by Lee Sin's 2-0 or Shen's assists.

I should also say that I don't know why people continue to play Vlad as a split push champion at Worlds. Every time I've seen a team attempt it he just gets shut down so hard it's not even funny.

Cloud 9 is being critisized way too harshly here, but this was to be expected. After all it was a relatively close series against a Fnatic that are in top form. bascially decided by one game.

And this agan shows how retarded Riots format was with seeding teams into the quarters. We only saw C9m against 1 team and we still didnt see them again Asians, wont see that for a long time actually.

God dammit I want more international tournaments.

yeah i want more international tournaments so bad, i dont understand why they just have lcs games at iems/mlgs/dreamhacks when they can have awesome international tournaments year round. more international games = more growth for every region and more happy fans. its a win win

c9 is just overrated, and fnatic brings them to their real level.

Anyway Gambit isn't in their prime, and najin swd is my favorite korean team,... I think this will be weird games.

So glad Neo put up that note at the top. Some people can seriously be so annoying when they win. From every region.

I'm fine with joking around, but some people are actually being serious, which is very confusing to me.
Anyway, glad SKT is playing today, only other team I really care about at worlds this year.

I'm sorry to break it to you, but SKT T1 is not playing today. The last game is NaJin Sword vs Gambit BenQ

I'm not jumping on the NJBS hype train, but I think Gambit would have lost to any quarterfinalist. I hope they prove me wrong

Fan service. It's an NA event after all.

Missed the entire series, just tuned in when fnatic killed C9s base in game 3. Any good games, or all games as one-sided?

game 1 and 2 was quite good worth a watch imo and theywas no way near as stompy as game 3

1st game was 20-9 and was just about waiting until c9 wins, dunno

start of game 2 (up to 20min) was good, end of game 1 wasnt close either but most matches arn't so I stick with my previous post

I really hope NJBS doesn't fall down to the nerves here. Otherwise they're looking like the much stronger team.

Trash-talk aside, C9 has some real potential once they get more international experience they may become a force

Yep, but anyone who thinks they'd have a chance - after witnessing these 3 games - in a BoX, is delusional.

How do you figure? The first game was quite close, the second game they won, and the third was lost to lvl 1 double kill. I guess I'll go sit in my delusional little corner you awesome european, you.

lol lost to double kill lee that failed invade after, no wonder usa is so shit in lol if you actually think like that :O

You're funny, but I'm not quite sure that it is intentional.

that seems like a solid argument, as good as finding retarded excuses for every na loss :O

When did I come up with an excuse as to why NA lost? Fuck man. You're making shit up now. Clearly Fnatic is the better team.. they WON. Not to mention there's no shame in losing to the #1 team from group B who also 2-0'd SSO. All I have said so far is that the series itself (2-1) was pretty damn close until game 3.

lost only because of lvl 1? That sounds like moronic excuse, especially since whole lead was wasted with shit invade. And have you even watched the series, none of the games were especially close, oh lord, dat 20-9 was close as hell.

The third game essentially started with a 1.1k lead for fnatic before the laning phase even started. This plus Fnatic being good at snowballing a lead put C9 at a huge disadvantage. Certainly it isn't the ONLY reason that they lost (terrible vision by lemon all series helped that), but you sir are the delusional one if you fail to recognize that a team like Fnatic starting with a 1k gold lead at 1:30 into the game isn't more than likely going going to win vs just about anyone. I'm done arguing with you, as I seriously doubt anything beneficial will come from it.

This, pretty much. Every game with Vlad, we hear the analysts go "Oh but they had the better team comp, and if that Vlad got going, it was a sure victory!". Guess what, midgame matters, and having a better team late game doesn't mean a lot these days.
