Ozone's comp was fine; they just executed terribly. I've been really really disappointed with Dade (obviously) this tourney but also with Mata. Mata just isn't playing the way he does in OGN. Actually, I'm just disappointed with everyone on Ozone tbh.

I think SKT and KT Bullets were the clear 2 top teams of Korea recently. And it's questionable for SG Ozone vs CJ frost.
It's a fact that CJ blaze had problems with team chemistry and the team had a bad atmosphere causing it.. Like one of the members said that even though when they performed good, they didn't have a good team atmosphere, and they thought that they could just keep playing well even though they aren't all friendly with each other in the team.
I think Ozone had clear problems with Dade's champion pool being fucked prior to worlds. But they also didn't have good game plan and clear losers to fnatic.
So 1.Skt 2. KT Bullets 3. I would think CJ Frost, because honestly they have more star players compaired to Najin and Ozone.
I agree with everything here, but don't count out Najin just yet. They did take a spot by default that could have gone to KTB, but they might yet surprise everyone.

Too bad Samsung kicked easyhoon. I always thought he had a lot of potential. He could have replaced Dade. I actually don't have high hopes for that team and don't think they could beat KT B and SKT T1. Flame is good but it's not like GBM was bad. Yes he was. His CS was 2nd lowest out of all mid players in OGN (only trailing Rapidstar) and his champion pool was extremely shallow. Flame would be a massive upgrade if he transitions well. We still don't know what flame's champion pool is. Flame got to where he is with hard work, not innate talent and I see him as someone different from faker who just seems to be good at everything he touches. He had so many games on champions like kennen that made him so good. Faker became a god through solo queue, if you think faker is sheer talent, you're dead wrong. Yeah, and he played out of date champions like ryze and nidalee and leblanc for the most part and just transitioned into competitive play god. Compare that to someone like dade who only plays his competitive champion pool in solo queue.

I highly doubt this considering they already got penalized once. They'll probably hide strats and not try anything to interesting, but I'd expect they'll play their best considering they don't want to deal with any collusion accusations.

welp I'm out, hope sktt1 dominates tmrw (luckily they're not facing omg so it's pretty likely ^^)

Must be nice to make this comment now... Ozone was wildly considered the 3rd best team in Korea behind SKT and KT.

i was expecting something better of looper i heard good stuff about him, very nice double kill for imp but that was all ozone did in the whole game.
i think the next round will be amazing cloud 9 will show them im sure (i hope)

Oh well, cba watching the last game. Fnatic is by far the best team in Group B and they deserve to be number 1.

If they pick some brainless teamcomp like today's game 1, Fnatic might punish them, but if they are serious, they only have to worry about Vulcun.

That doesn't mean to say I think Korea isn't the best server, it clearly is, I'm just saying the feeling going into this worlds was Koreans would just walk over everyone, even SKT T1 has struggled at times.
People need to stop taking "Koreans are better than other region" out of context. The thing that makes Koreans better than other region isn't that their top teams are miles ahead of other region's top teams. It's the fact that they have more QUANTITY of top teams. The top European teams and Chinese teams had always been competitive with top korean teams; but it's almost the same 2-3 top teams for those regions. Whereas in Korea, the sheer amount of top teams coming out of nowhere is crazy. To put it in perspective, SKT1 wasn't even formed in the first round of OGN champions this season, and that was also KTB's first season afaik.
So yes, if you think of it that way, the korean competitve scene for LoL is stil way ahead from that perspective.

Pls can we stop make up circuit points or tournament structure excuses.
Ozone was the 3rd place team last OGN and the champion before that. They beat Frost in a Bo5 and they were the 3rd best korean team coming into this. The patch which fucked over Dade, loss of Homme as a leader and general cockiness is what's happening in L.A.

I don't think this is a given. Fnatic has good incentive to try and knock Gambit out if they believe Gambit poses a bigger threat to them in the playoffs. I'm not sure how deep their friendship goes, but if I'm playing for hundreds of thousands of dollars, I'll take any edge I can get.

Why should they bother?

Ozone can't even make it out anymore just because Fnatic has secured their spot so they obviously won't try against Gambit, especially considering its a fellow European team. The only hope is if Vulcun stills tries to beat Gambit, even after they can't advance anymore if they lose to Ozone. Also, let's say there is no european friendship between them (there is, so SSO is out); they would still experiment a bit. Not in a way of picking heimer and stuff, but what's the best time to test your B plans in real situations, than now? Well they will test their Plan Bs and when they realize it does work they will probably do a subtle throw. True, but really now, even Fnatic did the most stupidest thing ever to let Gambit win, who would feel sorry for this Oozone? Dade not giving a single fuck, Mata wasting his ult twice just for the lulz, imp ("bestadceverhavemybabiespls") gettind caught in MID lane with EZREAL. Like what the hell, it's like they want to prove a point.
Yet this is the same team that just stomped Gambit today. They deserve a chance in the tiebreakers against Gambit, but the game scheduling is going to deny them of it. I just hope Vulcun still tries their best against Gambit even if they lose to Ozone and can't advance anymore.

I still think they have some good players but their top lane is weaker then what it used to be. Other lanes aren't star material, the only good team they beat in NLB was CJ blaze this season, and they weren't even in top 5 this season.
