iirc bengi outplayed dandy that series. he was a top 10 ladder player so individual skill wise, bengi's up there.

Bengi led KDA for junglers in spring and summer I believe? He's super solid and has a very similar style to dandy. I consider them both equals for now, but dandy does make plays quite often and carries for his team.

ozone is for sure. they lost their series in champions summer more to surprisingly bad decision making at some crucial points in the games. skillwise both teams are about even overall.

Impact > Homme
Bengi < Dandy
Faker > Dade
Piglet = Imp
PoohMandu < Mata

Super super close opinion compared to the Korean community
The consensus in Korea about this is actually:
Impact >> Homme
Bengi < Dandy
Faker = Dade. Faker Orianna > Any mid Dade has except Zed. Dade Zed > Any mid Faker has except Orianna
Piglet << Imp (poohmandu carries piglet, individually he's not as capable as imp)
PoohMandu < Mata

I can see that.

To me, the biggest difference is Impact vs. Homme. Homme is pretty much perfect Ozone and almost no other team in the world. You couldn't just pick up Homme, send him to Frost or Blaze, and expect him to do well. He's good at what he does -- being the utility top laner, picking Yorick, Shen, and Zac, and he does his job while Dandy, Dade and Imp are the top three options.

Impact is severely underrated currently. He pretty much came into the season as the same thing as Homme, and he even mentioned himself that he is a lot of times a utility top lane, but he also has the talent to play Kennen, Diana, Vlad, or any of the champions Homme plays.

Dade showed a lot of nerves in the Champions semifinals and third place match, but when he's on or confident -- like he was against Ambition and Blaze -- then he's fucking scary.

Also, here's a preview of Group A I did for Riot. You can throw it on the front page: http://na.lolesports.com/articles/worlds-preview-group

Neo's doing Group B, so you can pretend it's Liquid previewing.

dade also seems easier to ban out than faker, especially now that some of his mids like tf and ryze are nerfed.

I still think bengi is highly underrated. Huge reason why they were able to beat MVP and KT B. It's hard to deny that he definitely had a bigger impact and outplayed Dandy that series.

Imp is overall a better ADC, I'll concede to that, but I don't think he outclasses Piglet. Piglet still needs to think more about his actions rather than relying on his reflexes. In lane they are even and that's huge.

Faker is > Dade simply for his champion pool. Faker's ahri > Dade's, faker's gragas > dade's. At least for dade if you ban out Zed you're kind of in an okay spot.

On paper, the teams don't differ that much on skill. Where they differ in my mind is that T1 has proven more that they are stable in pressure situations with their backs against the wall.

Also Ozone got insanely cocky after beating Blaze. They went from the cute underdog to the same brash, arrogant team that Blaze were before Ozone popped them in the mouth.

looking at their match history from back when faker's team first formed, they were something like 2-9 against ozone before ogn summer. and this is the only team they've ever lost to lol.

i do think that t1 sees ozone as the target they were chasing after for all this time, a rivalry that motivates them to improve constantly. it's really remarkable how fast t1 overall has improved in every facet, from individual play to team level strategy.

2-9 before OGN summer? When did they play besides spring? And in spring they were 2-5

0-2 in AMD-INVEN

1-2 in asian indoor games korean qualifiers

I found it actually, and there's even a vod of it

It's crazy how fast they've improved since forming. From solo q warriors to best in korea. I remember reading mata's interview after spring saying how faker and piglet were really good but would be so good if he could play on their team and coached them.

It's funny how SKT already have Marin, the current Solo Q God already locked up and ready to play when they get a good supporting cast around him for T1 #2.

Team OMG will arrive in the US today (Sep 12th). Don't know about Royal though. Are the European or Korean teams in the US yet?

I'm pretty sure the korean teams left. No one is playing solo queue ladder that's from a korean team. Typically the flight from China/Korea to the US takes 10 hours~

From what I read from Chobras twitter is that the OGN crew, SKT1 and Ozone are on the plane, most likely Sword won't leave yet since they don't have to play in groups so they have more time to prepare

Poor Chopacabra. At least Piglet knew him.

Faker is more modest than he seems. For a 16 year-old, his self control and work ethic is outstanding.

I feel like Fnatic don't get enough credit their teamfight execution has been stellar lately and Peke is a beast, they will take a dump on US teams and give Asians a run for their money

I have my doubts about their bot lane though.
