Even if EU was bigger than China (it isn't) there is zero chance that all of Europe is bigger than all of Asia. We even have a tweet from MonteCristo to confirm,
Sorry about the times for Worlds, EU, but there is a larger viewership in Korea and China independently. Combined, it dwarfs EU. source

In fact, I'm pretty confident when I say that there are more viewers tuning in from korea alone than EU.

every single one of those starts at 6:30 PM PST or later.
I agree that due to the long running time (even here in cali, it was midnight by the time the games ended), 7PM might be a little late, but there isn't really a better starting time if you want people who have jobs to be able to attend/watch after they get off work.

Yeah, if Monte is a reliable source, Korea and China by themselves have more viewers than EU. I think Monte is a pretty trust worthy source.

This thread kinda fills the void of the old BW LR threads. It's not the same though...

... what is this reasoning stuff, the west coast is killing eSports.

Unfortunately they can't schedule perfectly when broadcasting to the world. Choosing good times for Asia over Europe makes sense for them since they have a larger viewership. Also they have vods if you happen to miss the games. Perhaps next year they will make it up by hosting the World Championships in Europe? Also Faker vs Regi tonight, let there be salt.

Faker shall claim another soul. TSM will never be the same after tonight.

Not every sporting event in the US is international.

I am slacking obv You guys are so bad at LR'ing. BW posters are gods. right, right? Well live reporting was the easiest way to build post count. Just give play by plays of whats happening with a lot of posts and people would appreciate you for spamming the thread with recaps, kind of a shame nobody does this for LoL tournament threads. Sometimes I will miss an amazing play and there will be almost a page worth of "X is so good!" type comments or reading about a match later it will be a lot of "Team X threw so hard", but have no idea what the play was. You can still request someone to give a recap though.
I don't have the patience to do this with LoL matches. I attempt it sometimes, but then midway I realize why I stop trying to do it. Mostly, I can probably give main points at the end of the game, but giving it while the game is going on leads me to miss part of the action. This leads to a disconect from what I thought was going to happen, and what actually occurs. SC had "stages" of development in how a game goes. SC2 is similar as well. With LoL though, these stages are a lot shorter, and I can end up missing so much in my write up that I feel it's futile to try it live.
This is my experience with it though. It doesn't help that I'm fairly impatient. Maybe someone better can actually do this with LoL

I got into an ARAM and the first thing our Leona says is "we're gonna lose," which led me to reply with "two of the other team has TSM logos so they can't be very good." We won handily. With that being said, I look forward to seeing Regi get crushed so hard that he retires as a player so the rest of TSM (whom I like, don't get me wrong) can become good again with someone who isn't a major asshole.

Honestly the EU Playoffs were at a bad time as well. Anyway I'm more surprised that they decided to screw EST than EU and I don't see the point of the Asia argument. Wouldn't it be the same or better for Asia to have it in the morning than at noon as it is now for weekdays?

faker absorbs the skills of all the midlaners he crushes ambition was victim #1 then we have seen the falls of dade, ryu, etc
