kinda getting a feeling this is all some conspiracy trying to make EU and NA look good. I mean sktt1 and the second chinese team in group a.... and group B is much more stacked then A. but it's teams capable of beating each other.
Plus automatically getting 3 seeds for Worlds... If you win all stars you get 4. I mean with this format... I think it's best to give every region that participates equal amounts of seed. Because we can't forget that TPA which is coming from not even Chinese league or any of the big leagues out there won last year.
Maybe they should've had a seed for last year's champion.
If we do it by champions league style, where we have league points and who ever performed good in world's or other international competitions have more seeds... Then it would give those leagues with 1 or 2 seeds like... basically no chance bringing that seed level higher... So that isn't fair...
But if we keep this seed amount static then if NA or EU wins all stars they get 4 seeds and all the others get 2 or less.
But EU, NA and Korea has 3 seeds so, if China or some other team comes out on top... that will be really funny to see. But I don't think C9 will be that good as everyone think they're going to be... I think Royal Club and Gamania Bears are so unknown that they're going to have some shocks coming quarter finals.
One defense I have for Koreans teams and there meta is that... because they're so noticed that whenever one of their mains or champs play well for a extended series it always gets nerfed.
I mean Dade had most of his champions nerfed, Zac got nerfed ( I agree with the zac nerf though)...
But regions like SEA, CHINA etc... get like no recognition, so even though they have some op champ mains... They still get to keep them?
I think this is because Korea has no "korean only" champions. The koreans take the OP champions and maximize them and they start becoming popular in every region because every region watches OGN and studies it. Remember when Vi started becoming popular? Wasn't a patch or any change, it was when Bengi beat KT B 3-0 with it. The koreans also showed the power of lee sin and that was picked up really quickly as well. Meanwhile the koreans don't really go for things like aatrox which happen to be strong in EU and China.
However, the last patch was poorly timed for the two korean teams here and certainly gave the advantage to other teams at this tournament with corki. No conspiracy against koreans here though. Koreans can play triforce champions like ezreal and corki but it just so happens to not be the favorite ones for imp and piglet who excel more on mechanical champions like caitlyn, vayne, and twitch over an ability spammer like corki.

Not sure where this 'disrespect' thing is coming from. Is it the Ryze pick? Sometimes pros will do picks that we don't understand (Xin pick for Gambit v Fnatic). It doesn't necessary mean Gambit was disrespecting Fnatic.

The new patch was perfect for the Bullets. They would have wrecked hard if they had gotten in over Ozone.
Scorki would have ran wild.

Not just this but they left all the analyzing to be done by the coaches rather than watch other teams around the world because they thought they couldn't learn anything from them. The koreans literally don't watch other regions at all and leave it up to their coaches while other teams are watching OGN and high profile matches constantly.

Yea. You should learn to play a champ that hasn't been viable for most of your pro career in the 2 weeks since your last competitive tournament. Smart. I'm not defending Ozone's overall play, but people who deny that Corki is a nice crutch are lying. And if you look at it from the POV that says that Lucian should be banned, Corki is no less of an unknown power level/wrench in the works than if they let in Lucian.

They have this huge patch that changes so much and changes corki to essentially be more OP than any new champion that could be released and Lucian is banned. It's a really hypocritical situation. I could understand small changes but the trinity force changes were so huge for the item.

This is excactly what koreans do and are known for, to scout and learn OP champions after new patches. And yes it is smart for it made many Korean teams stomp another in OGN. I really do not see your point tbh.

This really makes no sense sorry, Score already busted out the trinity force ezreal/corki in 4 different sets during Korea Regionals. If Piglet, Imp and maybe Pray (not sure about him since these two already were in his roster) consider it strong they should have spend the last 2 weeks spamming it in scrims/soloQ. Or ban if you didn't practice it and consider it op like some people claim.
Love how nobody wants to admit that EU bottom lanes are just as good as the NA lanes and can hold their own against asians just because everyone only ever focusses on our mids.

Just pretend, that instead of it being Corki, everything I said was about Lucian.
Or hell, pretend Riot increased Garen's damage 33% and made him nearly unkitable in 10.a. Corki is basically the Garen of Ad Carries.

I actually remember from the Smurfs you linked a few days ago seeing that Piglet has actually spammed a ton of corki, but probably stuck to cait/vayne so far to not reveal it yet.
I don't think IMP has caught on it yet though. Pray is known to play everything so I'm not worried about him.

I'm really curious about how the seeds will do. At first I thought they'd do poorly because I just didn't think they were the best teams in this tournament, but I think watching these games and preparing is gonna give them a big advantage. Seems like the element of surprise is really strong right now. In particular royal is gonna be a really difficult team to deal with. And sword well... no one fucking knows what the hell sword is gonna come out with.

This lolplay.tv site is too good for vods, timemarked events on the vod bar, so convenient
like for example, check out the Fnatic vs Ozone game.

I wanted Ozone at worlds, but now I'd much rather prefer to see CJ Frost or KT B. At least we would get to see plays from Madlife and InSec, and not this dade run-into-4-enemies crap.

Ryu also got Faker'd so don't think he'll be much better.

Ryu performed well though against everyone but faker afterwards. Really carried his team against frost and blaze. Still, insec is pretty worrisome in that top lane though. Homme 2.0.
