I also agree with Yango that patch timing is really terrible. While I don't think Riot's trying to play favorites, they definitely underestimated how much of a meta shift their "small tweaks" to Zac and Triforce caused. Zac getting so many nerfs means Aatrox gets shoved into the limelight. Prior to 3.10a and 3.11, people were already saying Aatrox is basically a shittier Zac. Now with Zac being no so good, Aatrox is a staple. Guess what region has been playing Aatrox the longest? Triforce buffs also throw a big wrench into everything. None of the regions played Corki, but Triforce being so damn strong, especially with Corki means teams all have to spend an extra pick/ban dealing with Corki. You also force teams to somehow figure out how to deal with the 15 minute Triforce Corki with basically 0 pro games of practice. Riot really dropped the ball with patching here. | ||

@Yango I think it's because we saw a second set of Group B today that you got that impression and it also had an extremely underperforming Ozone + the 2 strongest & experienced EU teams. SKT-T1 and OMG looked pretty darn comfortable if you ask me and we haven't even seen Royal and Sword yet. | ||

Zac nerfs really hurt SKT T1. Impact's best champion is arguably Zac and now teams don't even have to bother to waste a ban on it. Also, the fact that Corki + Triforce is super popular hurts Piglet as well since Corki and most good Triforce users aren't female. Corki counters (Kog and Graves) are also all male and since Corki is a must pick/ban, Piglet is screwedddd. On a more serious note, I think the EU and perhaps NA teams have a slight edge in the bot lane since they've been around longer and have seen Corki at the height of his popularity and can probably adapt/deal with Corki much better than the Koreans who basically have never played with a powerful Corki. | ||

LD vs OMG will definitely be good. Hopefully Nukeduck doesn't give Cool too much respect and tunnel vision on a counter. And Please ban Ahri. Dexter vs Lovelin will be good too. TSM vs SKT - Oh man. I want to watch this so bad. If SKT decimate TSM with Singed and Gragas vs Regis Zed, That would be perfect. | ||

I think people are just too kneejerk when it comes to tournaments, plain and simple. M5 brings out Shyvana Jungle at IEM Kiev and completely revolutionize S2, they're heralded as geniuses. They took a risk against Fnatic and it didn't pan out. Sample size of one game, let's not all jump on them, k? They're still tied for first in Group B. Flaming Ozone (coughdadecough) would make much more sense. Lastly, dat 3.10a patch. SMH. | ||
