I've seen way more highlight worthy plays in OGN than I've ever seen in the NA/EU LCS. I just find there are way more "wow" moments in OGN where I'm impressed with a play and it's execution. I mean I don't think the KR teams are invincible, I just think they deserve a lot of the praise they get (maybe not ALL of it though).

depends on how you define highlight.... LCS has more Baron highlightreels with throws, 5min long- chaotic teamfights and trolol Yolo dives. basically all that shit you find in SoloQ

It's simply very hard to try and judge a region's strenght by just looking at that region's teams in their own kind of ecosystem, from my observation. We sort of saw that at Allstars, where the Chinese had all the hype behind them, but got absolutely humiliated by the Koreans in their games. If the overall level of a region is higher, it will tweak the angle again from which you can look at the teams, because in the case of Korean teams, they not only make less mistakes, but they are at the same time very good at forcing and punishing mistakes from their opponent. Because of that, it's pretty hard to look at a top Korean match and actually try to judge the teams objectively based on their "mistakes", in my opinion.

zzzz piglet and Faker highlights are unfair, that's like standard play for them.

I remember in one of the OGN Summerschool videos a random SoloQ leesin pulled of the perfect Insec and they didn't even "oooooh, meanwhile in NA/EU soloQ " LOLOLOL INSEEEC BABY"

There's just something about Korean playstyles that means these "flashy" plays happen more often. There's no way I think that only the Koreans are capable of doing such things, it's more that only Koreans get a chance to or perhaps make a choice to. Each region plays differently. strategic counters can make a superior team appear ordinary, but at the moment, the skt-ozone play style seems like the most effective at just rolling games. it's not something a couple counter picks can resolve either.

the korean scene is evolving and improving faster than other scenes. the rest of the world is following. it's possible that a team as talented as Royal Club can execute a counter strat to knock them down a peg, but you gotta see it happen first.
