There's a lot of things that contributed to them doing what they did. They know the other team has a better late game and could have been fatigued during a 40+ minute game. It's hard to go back to give up baron when you know you are barely winning teamfights already. Nah, for me it was an easy decision. After dancing for a bit, you need to save your base! Do you realize that last team fight most likely doesn't matter at all. Even if TSM lost the super minions will most likely take the Nexus. I think MRN forgot for a second there that you need a Nexus to stay in the game, not a baron.

Unless that fight went on for another 30 seconds the nexus wouldn't have gone down. It was just starting to get hit when TSM got there.

Judging from team fights prior to that point, no team can Ace the other cleanly. I bet remaining member of TSM will delay enough. Come to think of it, if this was EU LCS, we would have seen a Xpeke right there, lol.

Secondly, both teams were at baron that mean TSM will do the same, with their minions already in MRN bases(icld super minions) they will finish it much faster. But still a better ending than the one we just saw though lpl spoilers + Show Spoiler + it was pretty much the exact situation. iG was setting up for baron, WE had creeps pushing up on their own tower, so they either had to fight or go back. WE made the decision to push the inhibitor and try to force a game-ending fight, but iG was prepared and calm and didn't get caught, allowing their creeps to do work and take their base. i guess it was better than the finish here because WE did not really waver in their decision making; they went for the inhibitor right away. in this game, MRN just wandered around doing nothing and then were forced to engage in an unfavorable circumstance. Stuff like camping all 5 in a bush waiting for someone to facecheck... waiting for TSM to mess up their positioning while super minions push the base... stuff that might work in ranked 5's but not against TSM. i think they came out ahead in that jungle camp. they could've forced a base race or engaged them when they were barreling down mid, but instead they recalled which was probably the worst decision they could've chosen. I always felt the muramana build path is really slow. I know this urgot's already aiming to build it, but I sincerely wonder if it's worth it with someone like Urgot. Then again, my problem may be the Urgot pick in the first place.
