Keep the rage to a minimum. This includes wait times between games, music, and balance.
Fair warning to all. |

WTF somebody coming in declare alot of people as sore losers because they raised a valid point that there was a possibility that somebody looked at the minimap. In my opinion that ping of Azubu Frost is wierd but if Riot says that they did not cheat. Because they had better camera view and refeeres for that. I believe them.

Everyone is still going about TSM because most of the American lol community (eg reddit) are basically extreme TSM fanboys and won't stop complaining until something happens (unlikely) or something new happens at which point they will all forget about it.
Riot's statement is pretty useless, but tbh it's impossible situation for them to make any meaningful statement or decisions in apart from saying sorry awkwardly.

Idk why people say it's acceptable to learn from their mistakes NOW after so many public LAN events from other games, many of which also happened to LoL. And yeah, there's definitely no 100% soundproof headset, especially when it gets really loud. The table angle related to the big-screen was completely unacceptable and so easy to fix, and you didn't even need a booth.
Can I ask who didn't see this coming? Or at least even the possibility?
Yeah I agree. Like nobody from riot when they were setting up the stage sat down at the player's table and looked around, noticing the visible minimap thought that something might be problematic ? It's a million dollar tournament, of course the temptation of cheating is gonna be there, riot should have prevented any way of doing so - which isn't difficult on such a stage. It's a massive screw up on riot's part.

ITS OK WE GET DOUBLE IP FOR ONE DAY. ALL IS FORGIVEN -.-

Has esport sunk so low that we should be happy with free streams and live broadcasts? O_O

Be happy I sat there for what, 7 hours? For a best of 3 that never concluded? 3 dropped games in that time and a ton of downtime in between? I'm REAL thankful for that! No I love Riot for it, because I haven't seen any other esports tournament ever online, and every other tournament is rife with cheating so there's nothing special here other than the fact that for the first time I get to watch it!

Uh what's so bad about the double IP?
They admitted they fucked up pretty bad. They acknowledged that the visible minimap was horrible. Should they have seen that coming? sure, but afterwards that's the only thing they can do and don't repeat it in the future.
They also acknowledged that being reliant on an ISP for the game itself is a bad idea, therefor they are working on LAN now.
Sure, they should have done all of that before, and you don't have to be a genuis to see that coming, or at least the possibility. As I said they fucked up pretty damn bad. And riot basically said that themselfm, too. As long as they actually act on what they say they did everything right after the accident.. No need to call them out on the double IP. It's just an extra they give to please the stupid crowd. (who probably will cry for more anyway lol).

The double IP is more for the online viewers than live spectators, most of them said they weren't discouraged at all

Of course it's just to calm down the sheeping masses, but I wanna get RP instead.
fk IP.

It's such an obvious mistake to not have booths, it makes me wonder if they didn't put it there on purpose.

the crowd was having too much fun cheering at every ward kill!

I was getting into that at home, seemed like a good way to release some energy after a long day. It was funny to see the players confused by all the noise as well. Sad the last game was dropped so early.

When I watched TI2 for Dota2 in the booths there were 3 ppl standing behind eache team at all time.
Why they cant afford to do the same to monitor for cheating like that ? Its a big tourney and any form of cheating should be punished without mercy.

Of course nothing is wrong with free IP, but it looks pitiful. I hate when someone tries to buy me off. Id rather they didnt do the whole free ip for a day at all.

Maybe I'm missing something, but why would you have to turn your head sideways and then clearly upwards to talk to an ally? I mean, were there pictures of people turning to face the opposite direction of the minimap, or did everyone just happen to turn towards them? I guess I just don't understand having to turn 110 degrees to talk to an ally. I'm just kinda confused why anyone's allowed to do it.

According to Riot they had people monitoring all player cams at alltime.
@the guy who waited 7hours
Apparently you found the games so interesting that you got out of your way to wait 7hours. Its not like you never watch a SC tournament before.

oh yea i get that. And it felt like riot did that before.
Anyway as long as they adress the real problem which they did I don't see a problem with it.

Even in that case, he wanted to wait for official statement from Riot, which rightfully should have been a wholeheartedly apology.
