[IEM] Kiev Discussion - Page 59

At any point of IEM Kiev, if you think of an interesting byline, please drop a sentence in the Pro Scene thread. (e.g. "Day 2: M5 hype was everything people expected")

At the end of the month, I'll catalogue the results of Kiev but also any interesting facts or events that happen over the course of the tournament.

Thanks.

Best. Fucking. Interview. Ever.

Mark me a M5 fan now.

Edit: Solid questions too, Zenon. <3

we should start a fan club.

edit: yes, i agree. Zenon's questions were great. it allowed Alex to show us his knowledge of the game!

double edit: 40 min for next game -- Sypher vs M5!

40mins break before next game...good night I'm not gonna make it, grats to m5 for showing the best executed team game of this tournament so far.

Wow Alex has some of the best analysis I've ever heard in an interview from a pro.

I like the idea of the initiator being the shotcaller. Maybe we'll see other teams start to do this too?

Makes sense if you want to play a tempo caller. Sometimes there's no time to tell the stunbot on your team to stun. Just do it and go for it.

M5 seems really awesome. Got a fan out of me now! :D

Questions a lot better than yesterday too. Some really great answers!

M5 Alex made the call for that game because of Ryze snare.

Champion with initiating CC calls for M5. No one main shotcaller.

That is so clever I can't believe I hadn't heard this anywhere before. I jump onto the M5 fanclub too. They are GOOD.

Item-wise and damage, Shy wasn't really a carry but she definitely had the biggest impact that game. Gave great openings to Ryze and Irelia to get farmed.

M5 didn't even need Kog or EMPIRE really.

I've never been much of a Dignitas fan. With M5 doing those cool strats, I'm very inclined to root for them.

M5 hwaiting!

Just for the record diamondprox just played the best jungle I have ever seen since the new jungle came out.

In terms of being effective shyvana has no cc so if people choose to get zoned and let their front line die then she's done her job. People only die to her when it's an even teamfight.

Never watched a EU stream before (no Fnatic, no SK, etc) but I'm eager to watch M5 on Own3d next week.
huehue. :3

Edit: Anyone on EU want to look up Diamond's Shy runes for me? tyty~

Diamondprox is the best jungler in EU right now (followed by Snoopeh then Cyandie probably), the control he has over all of his games in scims and stuff is awesome, he also knows how to play shyvanna extremely well (CLGeu tried replicating this but no results, lol).
Go go Alliance.

I can't imagine many people replicating Diamond's results. Shy's greatest strength is her amazing jangle speed but there so many nuances to her to make sure good.

I never really understood Shy ganks due to lack of CC but I'm going to analyzes these games more later for sure. :X

They played amazing.

The interview was awesome, too. Alex seems like a really cool/nice guy with alot of knowledge not only about the game but also about the competition both EU and US.

You use high movement speed and red buff to gank overextended people. You just don't take ganks against people who aren't overextended. Swain tries to push an advantage in mid, he dies. Nobody died to lee sin ganks even though he ganks much better. Honestly her ganks are only slightly weaker than a pheonix udyr the 1 second stun doesn't count for a whole lot.

You can also rely on other peoples CC in lane obviously. Shyvanna isn't a jungler for her ganking, but she can still pull it off.

Snoopeh and cyanide still play more like oddone in the jungle so they aren't really on the same level.

I think she did really well getting an advantage until ryze could come along and carry the game. kog maw won the lane really hard against graves. the early early dragon was pretty good and the early taric pressure was a great start but they never really got off the ground after that.

Ditto.

I have somewhat mixed feelings about M5's manner wards though. And there's hearsay about M5 trashtalking other teams (both NA and EU) after scrims.

They also spammed "Go Home" to the team they beat in the qualifiers.

Counter jungling is highest priority?

His runepage "drakon" is: ad marks, armor seals, as glyphs, ad quints.

I like m5s play, but i really dislike their bm :/
