New drakes, very cool.
First strike seems interesting.
Shattered crown (or something?) seems like an op item for engages (Lissandra)
Demonic Embrace: nice buff
Fimbulwinter, crazy item. Cho, Sion and Malphite might see prio?

I have always been of the opinion that League needs more items. I'd like to see even more items added and more items added throughout the season. Which items did we get post item rework? I'm thinking hullbreaker and?

For me it's less about having more items in general, and more having different items at different price points.
League design is really focused around your first big item, then how much your first two interact with each other—especially for marksmen with the mix of AD, AS, crit, etc. we've had from the very start of the game—and then your full item build.
Zhonya's was cool when you would build it for some match-ups, or on some champions where it synergises better, say Kennen, Morgana back when she was a mid laner, etc. now that everyone and their mother buys stopwatch... yeah.
"It's more expensive because it's MORE STATS, and MORE STATS is always the good thing" feels trite; they've opened themselves up to more utility and diversified effects on their items, but they're always some kind of added damage, or sustain, or in the case of tanks %health AoE over time.
If they managed to line up the economy for the supports, and provide items at different price points that'd make timing different from "oh hey blue team's ahead in farm, so their 2-items timing will hit earlier, they should fight!" that means nothing when both laners are close enough that there's maybe one minute to fight to make use of it, and whoops drake's not available so noone cares about that window, you could have power spikes that'd incentivise teams to fight.
"Sure we're behind but I finished my big CDR item so we can force/fake-out a fight with my ult, and reinitiate earlier when they aren't ready" or an item that helps initiating at a cheaper price point, etc.
Old Shurelya's was great because supports and junglers could pick it up early and force fights/ganks. Stopwatch shouldn't be so cheap for the power it provides, so maybe put more of Zhonya's cost into the active, making the item cheaper for champions that want it, and not interesting slot-wise for the ones who just want the "get out of jail free" card.
A mish-mash of 3-4k items who all provide the same batches of stats sucks.

Fimbulwinter seem tailor made for Maokai. Literally all abilities proc it and he likes to spam them too. On paper it seems pretty legit paired with Evenshroud.
I dont care if it's good but I'm going to play Phase Rush+Cosmic Drive on anything AP. Phase Rush Malphite was already fun, now double it.

Holy fck is that new Xayah build bs. She can 3 shot non tanks and kites everyone despite being low range, simply because her feathers slow everyone to 270 MS.

only just saw the pbe notes and first strike is the dumbest shit ive seen. you insta lose lane as a melee vs ranged because they hold a klepto that also does more dmg to you. its cd better be heaps long because if it isnt then you cant play against it

I failed. Was going to post this in the QQ thread, but I'm not going to make it to platinum this year. It hurts because I used to be always able to make it there before the end of the season. Either I got worse or everyone got better.

Pummeled down the ladder after switching to spamming Qiyana everywhere but support (which is now my secondary). I suppose I could have grinded in time back to platinum by just playing Janna or Nami again, but fun is overpowered and while Janna being a hilarious fun police champion Qiyana is just too much fun.
I'm bad on Qiyana, I know it, but I'm having a blast playing League again. 10/0 or 0/10 is the name of the game, suppose I am now the gatekeeper to see if people deserve platinum. 😅
EDIT: Started watching Arcane. It's amazing and with so clever writing, did not expect it to be this good. Currently at episode 3. + Show Spoiler + I will only play Braum when I have to support Jinx. Must protecc the most innocent soul in Runeterra. I summon the crusaders! 😭

Gonna finish the season in Masters for the first time, so that's pretty cool, even though they increased masters playerbase by a lot.

Yeah, season ended 15 hours ago. Think /r/lol mods banned all mentions of it and other forums don't really exist, so that's why you haven't heard too much about it maybe? Although it was definitely in the client and high elo streamers were also talking about it.

personally i havent touched lol in months and when i do return i play like 10 games in a row only to go on another few month long hiatus.
the coin flip nature of solo queue now has just made me lose interest. im too old to give a fuck now about grinding to climb and dont have the patience to deal with the inters and retards that are the reason solo queue has become so coin flippy (to be more exact its the game mechanics that has made it impossible to 1v5 but my point stands). i either get decent team mates and get 15 min wins or i have to tryhard for 40 mins with retards to barely scrape wins but more often than not just end up losing. fuck that shit
