Why are they buffing lux ult, I thought the cooldowns of her basic abilities were the problem

I don't like the how there's they each have a skill that is clearly stronger with each other. That's a damn ham-fisted way of ensuring it will always be balanced wrong.

I can only see a world where they are either underpowered alone or overpowered together.

They will probably (and should) nerf it to the point its just flavor and not useful

A rioter in one of the reddit threads said the synergy effects are just nice extras and there's even some lane comps that work better than paired up.

the adc is very hard to discern her power level, I have no idea how she plays from her abilities tbh.

The support guy is just blatantly overpowered. Malphite ult on his W, absolutely disgusting mobility (look at the extra in game clips, once people learn him his quick playmaking ability is only rivaled by blitzcrank q basically except way less telegraphed.

He also has heals and shields to properly abuse the meta support items.

The only way he can possible be balanced at this point is sona level base stats.

Hmm, I thought it was beta but reddit found that the last multiple champions released on same day was back in 2010, Pantheon and Gragas. I think League was out of beta by then. Either way, 7 years ago, gg.

That Lux change is actually fairly significant, because it will pretty much guarantee she gets 2 ults per fight if ult #1 gets a kill.

I don't know if I like the lover thematic. When I get auto filled support, I really want my adc to keep it on a professional level.

not really? 11 cd root and 10 cd aoe slow are pretty standard compared to other mages. especially when considering the range of these abilities.

I mean you can always make someone more powerful just by cutting some numbers, but I like how they just amped up lux's signature ability instead. better to make her a little more unique and then go from there.

tho i would've liked them make it more consistent. CD applies when target dies within 1 sec of being hit or something like that so it doesn't just encourage sniping and it can more consistently be used as part of a team wombo.

Those are her only damaging non-ult abilities tho. Those CD's are similar to Morgana's (I don't know if Lux E kills minions at similar levels/item timings to tormented soil), which places her in the "outdated support" category.

I can't speak for lux players as I am not one, but from observation I think she would be stronger if E had a shorter CD in exchange for losing some of the slow (particularly the part before it detonates that I don't see them utilize much).
