for some people I can play with them in soloq and stuff if they're unranked and I'm plat I assume it's because they were gold-diamond last season however for some others who were gold-diamond last season, I can't what gives? | ||

I had the same or similar issue at the beginning of the season, check if the modes you are trying to play with them are consistent. I mean, in my case it was something like in flex I can duo with them, but in solo - can;t or vise verse, can't remember which one. The two ladders are set differently. Hope this helps | ||
