And it sucks even more for smaller tournaments. Consider the UK university league NUEL. Most of the teams in there have 1 or 2 master/d1/d2 players and the rest are low diamond or high plat. Now they are supposed to practice in normals? | ||

Now they added 5 mans to the list of people that can eat shit at the expense of 2-4 mans, which are the most common. I didn't used to pay attention to it but now ive been keeping track of who are premades by using lolking to look at previous games and who they played with. In diamond there is legit some sort of premade on my team in almost every game, its insane. | ||

I'm mostly duoing these days because fuck climbing back to where I was which just got even shittier (the first time I would have been against a challanger, I would've just uninstalled this shit), and boy oh boy, you gotta try duoing with double fill. Not only you will most likely matched into 2-2-1 or 2-3, same goes for your opponents. Having a fractured team, where people most likely help out their duo or trio friends, and no1 communicating in team chat is already frustrating, but when the opponent has a trio of bot (support or adc), jungle+top, then playing at bot lane is the very definition of anti-fun. Back to the ranked teams, I remember watching someone on twitch whose ranked 5s team was playing in their challenger promos. They had a D5 member. Can't remember if they actually succeeded or not, but with the current changes, they could not even try. Got to give it up for Riot for simultaneously ruining both solo and group play, while absolutely banishing every last straw of competitiveness in this ladder. Even Qtpie, who basically makes a shitton of money with just goofing around with his friends is annoyed and would rather play solo Q. But you probably saw the reddit posts where Dlift, Bjergsen and Meteos was complaining about it too. I'm watching Wings and Gosu too, they are both heavily against dynamic queue (or heavily for solo Q). I can't even watch Scarra, because his stream turned into the absolute definition of casual ranked play, he's really just queuing with his friends and that's it. I miss my pro player streams when everyone was super tryhard to reach rank 1 (or at least top 10). Good thing Riot halves the XP needed for lvl 30, so now they only have to suffer for months. Then another couple months to farm up the necessary champions and runes. By season 7, they can probably play normally too. Good guy Riot at least allowing them to buy XP boost and champions with RP. | ||

Why on Earth would a ranked 5 team funnel even more money into the game (assuming they already both skins on their main accounts) when the company that's running it clearly gives zero fucks about them? I get that you are offering a solution here, but it's just very counterintuitive. If you get banned then sure, buy a new account or start from zero, getting banned is on you. But if Riot buttfucks you, then why even bother? Right now Riot has three pririties (order is irrelevant): 1. Sell Skins 2. Promote LCS (and then Worlds) 3. Herd more and more casual players into dynamic Q, so they won't get bored with the game and will spend even more RP thanks to hextech crafting. If you are a solo player, if you care about competitive games, if you want a competitive ladder, i you are a ranked 5 player, if you are a 3v3 player, if you want replays, if you are a Mordekaiser main, if you bought an ultimate skin which is now not working properly, then just go and fuck yourself. That's Riot's motto currently. With the exception of splash artists, the ore teams and champion (re)designers. They are doing their best for us and we can't complain. Buying accounts isn't very advised unless you are sure they weren't botted. Generally riot don't care but sometimes they pretend they do and ban some of them. Which is why most pros now level their accounts. | ||

They took away ranked 5 queues and now screwing over many ranked 5 teams in a failed attempt to fix the shit that is dynamic Q, but it will hardly matter. You can still dominate the ladder with 5-men teams, while some legit ranked 5 teams are majorly screwed. Lose-lose. But really, I have no eggs in the ranked 5 basket, so if you don't understand why is it straight out insulting what you offered as a solution, I'd like you to meet IRL with 5 people from 5 different ranked 5 teams who got shafted, and tell them that it's all right, just start over from zero, or spend money on new accounts. I'm not sure how healthcare works in the USA, but try to have a good one before the meeting. They'd either beat you up, or just splash their drink into oyur face and walk away. I agree with you that there should be a solo and a ranked 5's queue. I just don't think that this particular quick fix, of tightening the duo play restrictions because of abuse that effected the rest of us is mechahitler returns. This is about 125 schools so say 2 teams a school about 1250 players for a very high estimate. On EUW there are about 40,000 players diamond or above which this benefits greatly. | ||

That is what I meant he waited 30 minutes for that game. Riot also removed rp rewards for online tournaments so why even play 5s? Not like local tournaments have good players. All of us who go there don't practice and are shitters. To be 100% fair there never were good teams in 5s. If you wanted to actually practice you had to scrim. Now you just don't even have the option to play vs shitters. | ||
