And then I soloq into game with my friend's 4 man stack. 4 D2's + D5(me) vs. D2/D3. I can't queue with them, but I can still queue onto the same team as them, which is totally working as intended. How are they even going to keep their shallow promises? They said they want to improve the solo experience, lessen the time to find an actual game, and make ladder meaningful.
But it is simply not possible to make fair games AND fast queue times. 2, 3, 4, 5 men teams are queuing up at the same time plus the solo players. If you want faster games, then you'd have to mismatch premade teams, which is not really fair, and once again, takes a piss on ladder rank. Alternatively, you can try to separate premades even more from solo players (god bless 4-men queue which makes it impossible though), which would mean high diamond or master/challenger players might constantly be matched with low diamond teams, because that might be the closest similiar premade group the matchmaking could find in a reasonable time.
No wonder they did not even hint at anything that might be in the works. It is simply not fixable, and the funniest thing is, there is almost no argument for dynamic queue. - Pros hate it with a passion. - Solo players hate it. - Players with a competitive vein hate how their ladder rank means nothing now. - Elo boosters love it. - The people who are praising it would not even recognize if by tomorrow Riot would rename this to Team Builder with some fake ladder.

Wow nice, I feel like I never get any good loot.
Posted it in LR, but what would happen if TP was now 6min CD, but reduced by 30 seconds per kill/assist gained in the next 20 seconds, to really make it a strategical pickup rather than a free ticket to lane phase for some champs.
It would be super snowbally, TP advantage would change from using it first (punishing indecisiveness in a TP play/rewarding smart decision making) to 'We won a TP fight, so now we have a gold lead and our top laner TP 1 minute earlier.

The "fix" to TP is to crush laneswaps. The simple way to do that is overload early dragon's rewards and make it so 3 lvl two characters can take it for almost no damage, but make it take a while, but once you got it Its way better than a tower plus minions.
That is step 1. Lane swaps shouldn't be eliminated, they just should be easy to punish so it isn't done to hide a slightly losing lane matchup. It needs to be like, " we are willing to be 5k behind at 20 minutes because this investment will pay off. "

I'm pretty neutral on dynamic q, but that Riot pls post is pretty insulting none the less.

I'm currently trying out Azir support.
Don't roll your eyes, I KNOW its not "good" in the sense we talk about good here on the board.
I'm really in love with Zyra support, but am scared of her rework since Riot said if there is enough noise they will put her back in mid lane.
Azir is fairly similar, sadly without the root, so basically a worse Zyra. But holy wtf damage and nice poke.
But he absolutely needs a Rylais imho (his soldier AA do 40% slow for 1 second). He is also like the first support I'm playing that feels slot restricted!
So I fooled around a bit. I don't want to be a useless pseudo-carry out of the botlane if it goes bad, I absolutely intend to do a support job.
So out of the six slots:
Sightstone Boots Aegis Rylais Pink Ward
are locked down. So I have room for one more item. Ideally something with armor. Since I want 45% cdr (because ult is most important utility, plus soldier spam) I figure I go with frozen heart? Maybe an early shroud...
Eye (yellow or blue) 10% Aegis upgrade 10% Shroud 10%
Either into Zekes, then I'd need CDR boots or into FH, then I could get mpen or swifty boots.
I definitely want 1 mana reg in blue, but not sure if I want the other 6 glyphs MR or flat AP. Mpen marks are probably best, but could also run armor? Seals I don't know, feels like everyone runs somthing different, either full armor, full hp, or a weird mix of armor and hp. Quints flat AP seem to be the best.
Soldier damage scales with level and 60% AP, so maybe I don't need AP from runes, since Rylais will give +60 damage?
Knife start is super strong and gives good gold, but I feel a bit too squishy so I usually start with coin for the extra health regen, and then rush the yellow eye because it has cdr manareg and nice gold (plus health reg). Blue eye has extra dps on soldiers (15, I think) and also manareg and cdr, but laning phase feels dangerous.
I tried targon, but soldiers aa doesn't proc and the eye has no cdr.
I specced into Thunderlords, obviously, and then in the left tree for the 2% spellvamp/lifesteal, but not too sure about that.
So far its been pretty fun, I KNOW its not a Tier 1 support, but I was gold 5 two seasons ago, silver 1 last season, I figured that he should be decent enough, that combined with getting better by playing more, and focussing on one champ, he should atleast be able to get me to plat. I KNOW its no LCS level support, or even diamond level support^^

I KNOW its no LCS level support, or even diamond level support^^ When you're playing a squishy support (that's not Janna or Soraka) you really need defensive runes otherwise you're just going to be jumped on hard and be super chunked or killed. Whenever I see a squishy support without defensive runes (armor and HP) I just tell my adc that we can go all-in on him whenever we want, in an all-in a few autos>>>>>>the smidge of damage you get from AP quints.
2% spellvamp/lifesteal, all your stuff outside of autos are AoE, is honestly not worth what you lose from not having 12 in resolve. The extra life regen, flat HP from Veteran Scars (really good on squishy supports with no heal ability) and with Insight pretty much being the best mastery in the game.
Honestly dont think the 15 AP from Quints are worth it, his base damage are already pretty high considering you outrange everyone in botlane and you dont need the ability to hard shove since you got an adc to help with it when needed. I'd most definitely go with flat HP yellows and Armor Quint.
On supports (or heck even some laners) where you desperately want max CDR asap I dont think you should be afraid to potentially overcap. Reaching the max so much earlier is for me much better than losing a bit of gold efficiency, getting mucher better combat stats early feels better than potentially losing a bit of gold efficiency in a super long game.
Have you tried Attack Speed reds?

RE: the dynamic queue Riot post, I like how they talk about only Dia up having long queue times. Having been mid/high plat most of my career I have never in my 5 year experience had queue times as long as the ones I have now. My longest queue time (this was after my diamond promotion) was like 2 minutes with old solo queue. With DQ I've had multiple 10+ minute queues in less than 100 games and I'm only Plat 4 lol.
Their posts just don't reflect the reality of what it's like to queue into that "ladder"
RE: TP, I like the boot enchantment idea. Would nullify early laning/diving tps in pro play but still offer it later game for strategic depth.

they could remove tp completely and i wouldn't miss it

with this whole rageblade hurricane trend going on, why have we not seen rageblade hurricane jinx yet

1) unlike tristana and kogmaw she has horrible ap scalings (or lack thereof). only on flamechompers. tristana and kog has pretty good ap scalings on their skills for ad based champions. 2) she doesn't exactly offer much to warrant a pick over those 2. if you want the guinsoos hyper carry with ridiculous DPS, you get the kogmaw. if you're willing to sacrifice some of that DPS for better tower pushing and a safer adc who can self peel, you take the tristana.

I mean if you made it cost like 1.5-2k as an enchant nobody would buy it early, but it would let you send a farmed carry to an offlane lategame to bot and not instantly lose baron later on in the game.
I actually think it might be an okay idea provided that the cost means there's a large tradeoff in power before like 20k gold.
That amount of gold in damage or defensive stats is large enough that you'd be a fool to build it early, but definitely possible to buy it lategame.

I worry that as a boot enchant, Teleport would basically crowd out everything else. No sane person would ever buy Alacrity instead of Teleport. You have to make it a meaningful tradeoff aside from just having to spend a lot.
For example, what if:
* Teleport Boots as another upgrade to Boots of Speed (so you'd be replacing Swifties/Sorcerer's Shoes/etc.) * A TP scroll a la Dota, so you are slot-constrained from TP'ing * An elixir, i.e., spend 250 to be able to teleport once in the next 3 minutes

Its actually more simply than that. She doesn't have high range and high attack speed at the same time.

I actually like those subclasses don't feel too bloated
embrace the powers of n-ary trees boys
I mean they are categories I basically had in my head anyway
both types of tank, both types of support, both types of bruiser, long range mage, assasin mage and then the ryze/swain/vlad LOL
adcs are boring and generic all fits my previous view
