But it should be the case that because there is a trade off between match quality and search time and because some roles are more in demand than others then putting an "easy" match in your second slot (like support or fill) will increase the likelihood that the system says "ok, give him his second role".
So if you really really want a role then "fill" is the worst secondary and "support" the second worst.
So I guess I'm an outlier and will never get my preferred role...
only way to improve this is to queue up in a group bringing more people to the game and no longer playing solo. dynamicly.
My primary is support but if I don't pick mid for secondary I get support 50% of the time at best regardless of the 2nd role. It is pretty stupid tbh. There need to be a lot of adjustment to the matchmaking. Also fill tends to give me top 90% of the time. Can't wait for 2/3 months to pass so game quality goes back to normal tired of players of full tiers lower than me in my games...
Problem with picking kindred to counter zed is she is banned or early picked
That Apdo level 1-2 play is DIRTY. I had to take a shower afterwards.
Also Kindred mid as a counter to Zed ... pretty cool, though why not just play Kayle instead?
Because Kayle is only ranged like 50% of the time and pushes wave a lot faster with her E-infused AAs than Kindred, who even with her shitty AA range can still harass Zed and shove wave out if he tries to push in on her by throwing down the W and spamming Q.
Plus, W sustain from the passive on it is much better than using a billion mana for Kayle's shitty rank 1 W heal.
Kayle probably also takes longer to get rolling in terms of items (usually Nashor's into Runaan's or Deathcap) while Kindred just needs a BotRK to be fine (and probably duel Zed to stop his split pushing).

Biggest one is just the early burst and range advantage kindred has compared to Kayle. Kindred can actively look for engages with Q unlike Kayle who can walk up and zone by standing in/past the minion wave, but ultimately has to wait for zed to walk in range. Kayle really doesn't do that much damage compared to kindred.
jhin is really just the next azir. As soon as you see that patch "hurr we fixed like 5 bugs with jhin and did not change his numbers at all to compensate :^) cuz we are rito!"
start banning him.
Right now his missiles sometimes go through people, the trap is buggy as hell, and there are definitely strange things going on with W among general clunkiness, and he's still doing fairly well for a new champ
Azir was just hilarious. Millions of bugs. Half the time your soldiers didn't even do damage, the other half they didn't attack. Makes me wonder if they do any real testing lol

all it makes me wonder is WHO is testing. clearly not people trying to help them or who take the game seriously.

They just change shit after it actually hits live. Most of those problems are mentioned from the pbe but they just get to live anyway.

i meant internally. they have some pros test and obviously some in house beta testers, but they never seem to catch a lot of the problems, so i wonder if the pros they pick are for personality/friendships rather than rigor of testing. not to mention pros have a lot of other stuff to do besides be testers as volunteers. the in house beta testers are probably good at testing out things, but not good at the game at the level they need to be.
think of it from a business standpoint. Hire people to do rigorous testing and use their time on that or just have the community do it for them when it doesnt even seem to be an issue for the community?
If everybody on reddit and shit started going nuts about their bad bug testing it might change but its not something that you notice often as a player so its not a big community talking point. Riot has zero reason to improve in this area

Reddit gets up in arms every time something comes out with a lot of bugs because they are usually all reported on the PBE board.

and nothing ever happens about it, which says enough about how important they think it is.

It would have to be no solo q level bad. The amount of people that just want to play solo is actually pretty large and they realized it was not a vocal minority but a large part of the playerbase. the people that look at bugs are exactly that , a vocal minority

Yeah, and then the community at large that are solo only bitch when there's a ton of bugs, which gets doubled down when PBE people say it was reported.
I'm pretty sure the pbe is actually only to make sure nothing they change crashes the game. most reported bugs don't get fixed, I don't want to make up a number but from just looking back on a couple of occasions more often than not I've found the bug was reported while in the pbe phase. But if it doesn't crash the game Riot just ships it.
And if it doesn't jump to the frontpage of reddit it doesn't get fixed nor even acknowledged either. I've stopped submitting tickets with steps to reproduce, pictures, and videos when I could produce them, because they've always received a standard response (even after I add one so it goes past the bot) then fallen into limbo.
