I mean, it was intended inasmuch as when you're making something big, you often lose track of small things like that.
The best way to test a system for those kinds of things is to give it to somebody who doesn't give a shit how new and shiny your thing is. They did it with the UI, they're doing it with new champ select.

The problem with sitting in champ select is it lasts too long and after a 5 minute que and 4 dodges you just get pissed off and go do something else.
The 40 seconds before picks are stupid as well. I am happy we finally got what I thought team builder was going to be back when it was announced. There are a lot of places that could use improvement but I definitely like it more than the old system overall.
They only need to add the system to rearrange people on their primary roles if open when they get in a select. It is kinda annoying getting 4 people on secondary role when all of us could have gotten our primary.

Agreed about the 40 seconds being too long. 10 seconds would be fine, IMO. Then people dodging and having to go through another 3x 40second pre-select is quite annoying.
I'm finding myself always getting support if I pick fill or support secondary role, and almost never getting my primary (top). Kind of sucks but meh.

It's good that they're fixing it though, because the first feedback round on it had the Riot response of "you're supposed to be fully paying attention to champ select so this is what the system properly does!"
I'm glad that they're acknowledging that people don't play this game with that much priority, because the fact that they didn't catch this in early testing means they only tested it with people who cared way too much.

Champ select takes too long zzzzz. They added 90 seconds on each side with the snake around picks taking 40 seconds each instead of 40 seconds total. Then they made it so you waste 40 seconds "declaring" a champion you want to play. Like what's the point when there's a chat box down below...
Then someone inevitably forgets to "lock in" or doesn't tab in to pick because it no longer pops up focused and you just lose your will to live.

Just test Jhin a bit in custom games and he seems pretty awesome.

Been tearing up games with Amumu lately. He truly is the terror of wood league.
|
luckily for amumu his recent massive nerf where his ult is now affected by tenacity hasnt mattered much since mercs arent in meta. But when tenacity is a good stat again he might need some tuning.
|
There's 15% tenacity on the tree though (idk if people prefer it over the armor/MR for enemy champs which I only use in ARAM lol). The new AP item is also really great for him.
I still take merc's pretty frequently top/jungle, but I've been going CDR on supports.
|
The resist one is much better.
|
resist one is better unless you are playing trundle or nasus or something and just splitting all day which is why i end up taking the tenacity + swifties a lot
|
Even though his ult is great in low leagues, I actually find his early ganking quite good. Q + Chilling is amazing setup and damage isn't too bad, plus the Hunter regen makes his mana problems less so.
Should probably relearn a couple more though, lol.

To all the Udyr players: Is runic echoes Udyr a thing? I just saw one in my game and he destroyed. In theory the stats are not that bad for him and he can stack the effect really quickly.
|
It is. Just watch some trick2g with the classic 480+ base ms pure cancer. Udyr in general seems to be strong.
|
Udyr is always a problem when he gets too much movespeed. he's one of the most elusive non dash/blink champs in the game, so when he can outrun characters with dashes he goes apeshit.
|
I used to play lots of runeglaive Udyr and thought AP will be dead once it was replaced by echoes, apparently I couldn't be more wrong. Seems like most people agree it's better than Devourer.
|
I'll try putting 5 pts in the resist one, I've been going splittsies like 3/2 most of the time lol
Runic echoes is pretty hilarious on Udyr, make sure you have it charged up for ganks and BOOM

Did some custom games with Jhin as well, I feel like the biggest issue with him is that you are going to basically have to spam abilities during his reload time, as it takes close to 1.5s to reload his gun. Wave clear is reliant on getting minions low with AAs then killing them with the Q bounce. Don't max W first as much as you may want to, the CD stays the same no matter how many points you put into it.
His burst is pretty damn good though if you can stick a trap down onto an enemy to get the lotus debuff, which lets your W snare the target and get in one or two AAs and throw a Q on them as they walk away. The ult damage is pretty good too, the skill feels like Xerath ult + Q fused together, though canceling out of the ult is a bit awkward because of how large the firing range is.
Personally I think I'd go IE > Reaver > Rapidfire on him with CDR boots, mainly to get to max CDR when you can so you can spam more abilities in teamfights. Rapidfire helps mainly for hitting turrets as his AA range is pretty mediocre.
I can see arguments for Shiv or PD to help with movespeed, as he has no dash or escape ability. Runaan's might work too, because of the guaranteed crit on the 4th AA.
The biggest issue I see with him is the reload time, which is probably will what prevent him from being played as a traditional ADC in competitive play. I could see him going mid though, shoving waves in, harassing mages in mid, and roaming a bit to top or bot and aid in fights/kills with his ult's range like Xerath before walking back to mid.
