Oh well maybe someone else missed it.

So, answers to the quiz:
1) Aside from Jax (which I didn't really count), it's Shaco E, which gives dodge chance vs minions and monsters.
2) Stealth wards but not vision wards
3) The wiki says that Zyra seeds CAN be teleported to, which I've never seen. Also says you can't TP to egg or Wukong, but all other items on the list are legit.
Some Thresh-specific questions:
1) The delay on reactivating Q is 0.5 seconds, except when ___? 2) True/False: because the lantern is impassable, throwing it onto a champion is like throwing a Trundle pillar for the purposes of Yasuo ult and interrupting recalls. 3) True/False: Thresh Flay is a projectile for Yasuo/Braum's walls. 4) How is your ability to reactivate Q affected by:
a) QSS/Mikael's/Cleanse b) Tenacity c) Black Shield d) untargetability (e.g., via Syndra)
|
+ Show Spoiler +1) When the target dies (or breaks the tether with something like Cleanse). 2) False. 3) I'd say false, but since it has an effect "over time" (the whole sliding thing) instead of happening all at once as a ground-targeted effect, I wouldn't be surprised. 4) a) you can't, tether's broken. b) people stop being stunned, but the tether remains. Afaik it's not entirely affected by tenacity either because they pulls happen regardless. c) Blocks the stun, not the tether. d) No idea. The tether persists (you can Q a monster, Syndra picks it up and throws it over the wall, you reactivate Q), but I don't know if you can reactivate during the untargetability. I'm tempted to say "can't" because the target doesn't really have a position.

1) What's the only source of dodge (aka, chance to have attacks miss) still left in the game?
2) If you use sweeper on a bush you don't have vision of, you will see:
a) stealth wards, but not vision wards; b) vision wards, but not stealth wards; c) neither vision nor stealth wards; d) both stealth and vision wards?
3) Which of the following can be teleported to?
Anivia egg Zac blob J4 flag Wukong clone Rek'Sai tunnel Thresh lantern Elise spiders Zyra seed Shaco JitB + Show Spoiler + 1) I don't think it exists unless you are referring to some obscure Dominion/TT/jungle mechanics that I am not aware of. You either take the damage 100% or in Teemo's case, take 0 damage.
2) c) Sweeper disables invisible traps and render them visible, but does not reveal them. This is particularly confusing with Oracle's Lens, because you need to be inside of the brush to kill wards using only the True Sight part of it, but you CAN use alternative vision source for the "Sweeping Lens" part of it.
3) All except Wukong clone and Zyra seeds. I am pretty sure Zyra seeds are coded like traps - similar to Caitlyn/Nidalee traps - and you can't TP on them. Wukong clones are considered champions so you can't TP on them.
+ Show Spoiler +wouldn't that mean Egg is unTP-able too? Egg is also coded as a champion.
You are right. I derped.

I just hope that the skin isn't better than the Snowdown one for me to care. Whatever, I made decent progress this year before I tilted, and that's with playing a pitiful amount of games.

division markers on the loading borders sound like a bad idea to me

The division marker puts me in a dilemma.
Currently, both of my accounts are going to get demoted to Plat II if I lose one more game. Unfortunately, not playing at all will also demote me due to decay. So...
Welp.
Anyway, if the Division thing did not exist I would have just let myself decayed. But now I need to go to tryhard mode yet again...

I keep ending one division higher than in previous season, seems like I'm improving but very slowly. Also I've played like 300 games overall and that's almost twice less than in S4.

Before there was no reason for people in division 5 to even vaguely try towards the end of the season, now there's motivation. Besides, having absolutely no differentiation between diamond 5 people and diamond 1 people is pretty dumb.
Only people who would dislike this are boosted people, or people who for some reason think that just because they barely made a tier, they're as good as everyone else in this tier.

I personally dislike borders as a concept, but if you're gonna have them you might as well include the division tiers.

I prefer having the border reflect what you're currently in than what you were in last season.

Well the issue is that for Plat and below the difference in divisions are incredibly small. You'll more often than not play with people 2-4 divisions higher/lower than you. So now adding in what division you finished at doesn't actually add in any more meaningful information than just what tier you finished at. It's essentially worsening the problem of tying rewards with tiers instead of the MMR.

I have a bunch of friends who are either low silver, and have given up on gold, or gold 5 and have no chance of plat. This gives them an achievable goal to work towards for the rest of the season, and might even make soloq a little less toxic since people will still have an incentive to tryhard after reaching gold/plat/diamond, rather then the current issue where they have no reason to climb any higher at all. Hell i just dropped down from d4 to d5, and had no real reason to bother trying to climb back up, but now i do.
Like unless you oppose borders completely (and i guess there's a point there, if you want to argue that having 8 month old borders is dumb,) then i don't see how you can oppose the borders getting a little more precise.
|
My issue is that it's no more precise for anyone other than diamond so it gives meaning to something that doesn't have a lot of meaning in the first place. The whole system is something I dislike and this just adds more to it. For example, Gold 4 vs Gold 1 is hardly any different so attaching more meaning to it as if to validation some kind of difference between the two doesn't sit well with me.

yea this should have only been done for diamond, divisions are completely pointless in plat and below.
on the other hand d5/d4 d3/d2 and d1/masters are all completely different games

Like you said there's no real difference skillwise between gold 4 and 1, so it's just purely a cosmetic reward which you can earn by having success in soloq.
I still don't see how that's anything but a better version of the mastery banners.
If you care that much about the details of your rank, and you're still gold, maybe just go practice :p

If anything the opposite is true, since having a d5 or p5 player with their border performing badly (since they're way worse then the average player of that league) inspires much more flame, as they do much worse then expected, then if their border had something indicating they were at the lower range for the league.
You do know there are more people in gold or plat 5, then in gold or plat 3+4 combined right? (and even moreso for diamond.) It's not going to be a rare occurrence to have division 5 player, and if you're going to flame someone for being division 5 in probably every single game, then you were probably going to flame anyway...
They're literally just adding more detail to their ranked rewards, are you really saying the league community is "too toxic" for ranked rewards? that's like, lyte levels of reasoning :o
