And the Fiendish Codex build path on Magus is pretty garbage unless a champion is named Nidalee or Fiddle.

An I agree with him on that point. I also disagree with your general premise, because they made cinderhulk so good that it was built on laning champions, and on "warrior" champions, like Reksai. However, if Glaive is lane worthy, and worthy of being built on champs like Gragas (why not, hes AP, used to love Lichbane toplane), it will change things greatly, just not how its been advertised to. And Runeglaive is pretty disgusting. Right now, start up a custom game and play AP/Smite ezreal. Watch Q be absolutely disgusting. Warrior also had the issue where it got nerfed right before Cinderhulk came out in addition to a lot of Warrior jungler's damages. It was a no brain that those issues + Cinderhulk being overtuned flipped the jungle meta on its head.

That makes sense. Things being overtuned will change the meta.

Yeah, I'm not saying Magus didn't have its issues, but i'm not sure how far runeglaive goes in regards to fixing the issues magus had. Unless of course Runeglaive is just so broken that it makes up for the early game clear issue.

Anyone know if this interaction works. Catfish eats thresh -> ults -> ally takes thresh lantern ride all the way. I'm pretty sure it doesn't work, just like you cant wait for thresh to recall and then grab his lantern all the way into the pool. Only because thresh can't recall in within his lantern duration as far as I know.

May i ask why Destiny is playing with 110 ping? :O
Nighblue3 also have 80-90 ping. Is it due to the state they living in?

Destiny lives in Nebraska (midwest), I also live in the midwest although he lives on the westernmost part I would say 90-120 is pretty much the range, usually low 100s.
I was told NB3 moved to cali so I don't know why he has 90 but if he's visiting his family or something he's pretty close to my range. maybe he's using wtfast or something idk, I have premium internet so my numbers may vary but I would assume most streamers have premium speed.

Iirc, he moved to Cali because he wanted to start an esports org and have a team in the Challenger Series. Then he found out it was a lot more work than he though, said "fuck this" and then peaced out.
WTFast doesn't do anything.

I just did a custom game to check and got 70-72 ping, idk if these are different or I just haven't looked at my ping in a long time >.>

Runeglaive isn't quite Cinderhulk broken, but it's pretty broken.
The key is that it scales while having enough base damage to compete with Magus' stats even in a burst situation. For sustained damage it's flat out better.
Consider Diana. In her ideal burst scenario she'll WQR-3rd Auto-R for a 3.3 AP damage ratio. In that case Magus' +40 AP over Runeglaive adds 132 damage. However, even with just the one proc Runeglaive still adds 75% AD + 0.3 Total AP damage, it's not enough to beat Magus in that scenario (it's down roughly 60 damage depending on level), but with a few more levels and a second item it'll pull ahead.
In sustained damage there's basically no contest. With just one extra proc squeezed in that combo Runeglaive pulls even or ahead depending on level, no other items necessary.
Basically Runeglaive is only inferior to Magus if you're an AP who doesn't auto, otherwise it's extremely strong.
|
So has anyone determined how OP Runeglaive is yet? I'm about to try it out in a custom bots game as jungle Diana just to see if the build path makes sense.
Edit: Tested it out, Diana still seemed to have mana issues until she got the Ruinglaive. Once she got it however it was like she'd just bought a Lich Bane and could just blow people up with a Q-R-AA combo.

I have played at 100 ping before though, it's not so bad imo, it's only an issue when ping fluctuates.
