Not sorry to see the Runeglaive interaction go at all.
to be fair if he invested that much money into an ad crit build it would hit you for even more than half (and it would crit more reliably)

His ult and heal wouldn't be anywhere near as scary though. That was the main thing, how oppressive the pressure was. We had a few fights where we jumped him, but weren't able to cleanly kill him and he just full healed and went back to poking like nothing had happened. He'd use his ult to zone us off inhibitor towers and his team would just blow them up.

I have a full crit damage rune page for the games I'm forced to play Top lane.
I pick Gangplank and if our team can make it to 35 minutes, my crits on squishies deal about 3/4 damage to ADCs and squishy mids.
It's funny as hell. Also makes GP super-scary in the late game, because all that crit makes him pretty scary against tanks too.

no, but its a spell. You are going to auto, its on a ~2.5s cd, so its pretty perfect for triforce procs.
not saying its secret OP but nobody ever builds it

Pretty sure I've seen Kha6 with Triforce before from the toplane, but that was probably before a lot of nerfs, meta changes, etc.

yeah well if you can't burst down AP GP with zero survivability you've got a pretty big problem.
AP GP is bad. And I've played it a lot, its just a crappy version of full crit. Ult scaling is not good enough, healing is not good enough when you are full squish with poor range and no moveblock.

Back when Kha could 100-0 people when he could use his missiles mid-flight, people went Triforce + Hydra on him because he's E, W mid-air (to get Sheen to proc), Hydra activation and Q when they landed to deal approx. a billion damage because the thing they were hitting just ate 5 things at once (and was basically uncounterable), and if the Kha was good, all of that damage gets boosted from the passive.
|
that wasn't the 'cookie cutter' build for that version of kha, auto attacking wasn't necessary because w proc'd your passive, so you usually wouldn't
you would go muramana > bruta > LW > BT > upgrade BC > GA
it wasn't until they buffed the shit out of Q to compensate for W nerfs that people started getting hydra, and even then it replaced the muramana, so there was no place for the triforce. because he does most of his damage through spells with good ratios, the pen items just added up to a lot more damage, the non sheen components of triforce are basically wasted.
basically

maybe now that bt isn't 100 ad it could be an option, he hasn't really been popular since that change but I haven't been playing him either.

He had a stun/snare break which doubled as a 1k heal on a 15 second cd. We got him a few times but it wasn't that easy to burst him. We probably didn't have the ideal team comp to deal with him in fairness (Vayne/Zed/Eve/Ali/APNid) but it still felt obscenely strong.
Your description of AP Plank was exactly how I would have described it prior to being dumped by him.

What do you guys think about AP Shaco vs AD Shaco, I recently started to play him and noticed that I do much better on AP, which is kind of strange, since, I have always been an AD types of champs player, never did good with APs overall, additionally, everyone plays AD Shaco so I would assume it should be better.

Why do pros never pick cho gath this split?

AP GP can use Runeglaive's passive to truck you with magic damage. Since squishies often have less MR than armour till they build a defensive item (even Grail isn't enough, Abyssal makes MR higher for most of the game though), having all of your damage converted to magic (and the appropriate pen) actually makes you hurt more, assuming you go crit and not just full AP like the guy did.
Increasing Glory's cooldown is sensible, especially considering a bunch of supports build it and the 20% item CDR is an easily accessible utility mastery, making it a 48s cooldown currently (and Talisman 32s). I'm all for there to be bigger windows when someone fuck up with an ult or other (like Alistar's ult, or the reason Leona beats Sona on the second ult if not the first), and it's not 2 minutes like Zhonya's.

That wouldn't be AP GP, that would be normal crit GP with Runeglaive. If you went AP GP its impossible to itemize crit and AP, and RG's ratio is too bad for building more ap. I didn't find it very effective when I tried it.

AD Shaco clears and counter jungles a lot faster, in my opinion also relies too much for trap ambushes to duel the other jungler. That being said, AP Shaco with items is true terror - at least in aram - those Illuminati placements of death take down even tanks lol

Only has stuff from Korean soloq that you're interested in, but some people in China play on Korea.
But yes, AS quints are still standard form everything I've seen.

Granted, in the vast majority of cases there is little to no difference between the setups unless it's against a heavily damage type skewed team.
