And just general tips, don't be afraid to go all in when learning a new champ so you learn the limits, be hard on yourself for screwing up lasthitting, stuff like that. Personally what got me to plat 1 was the simple realization that it's not worth to trade a kill for a death (unless possibly if it's shutdown-gold). Good lasthitting and generally aiming to stay alive and farm/exp rather than making sick plays does a whole lot.

Read a guide, can't give you a specific link but there are a couple that just focus on the mindset of improving. Like, don't even begin to blame your team, just look at what you could have done differently, keep tabs on how ahead/behind you generally are throughout the games and if you can pinpoint recurring mistakes, etc. And just general tips, don't be afraid to go all in when learning a new champ so you learn the limits, be hard on yourself for screwing up lasthitting, stuff like that. Yeah I've been working on the allinning thing, just trying to play more aggressively in lane (since I main adc it's very opposite of what I've been doing ie passive farming)

You have yet to address any of what I've said and instead are just posting about how bad I am. While I appreciate the attempt, you're not helping in the slightest. And I've already said that this is where I plateau, I'm asking for help/advice in what I can do to get better.

most people in liek challenger and shit have 100-150 games so thats like 2 weeks under the amount you play if you play significantly better than your mmr you can win like 80-90% of games and rank up to diamond in 20 games or something but you're clearly not On April 02 2015 00:42 las91 wrote: I'm extremely critical of my own play actually, but good assuming you know what I'm thinking. I'm not asking how long it takes challenger players because I'm not challenger, I've not implied I'm challenger, and I never said I was good. How obtuse can you actually be?

I don't mean a support main playing other roles, I mean a support playing as a traditional support. I'm not sure that is possible (but i'm not convinced it is impossible either).

I've seen a lot of Annie supports just 1v5, and a lot of Treshes singlehandedly carry their team to victory, so I think it should be possible. Especially if you duo. Also, about the climb to Diamond, you just gotta improve. For a long time I thought I belonged in Diamond while I was in Plat (about 6 months), but then I improved and got Diamond pretty fast.

I had like 90% win rate over the weekend although its variance its just because I mostly played well and on champs I'm good at and got carried when i picked jax thne i started playing dumbster and went on a loss streak but its mostly bad play and not luck support might be a be it different but we'd need a good player to play only support to test it On April 02 2015 01:04 VayneAuthority wrote: this is wrong actually. an account I took from silver with a 90%+ winrate is still only plat 5 after being 48-5. for reference http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/23719198 this account was silver 5 stabilized though its different from when you can jump up or down really high I reckon 48-5 is enough to get to challenger if your MMR is skyrocketing enough On April 02 2015 00:52 las91 wrote: Since this is my first real attempt at pushing through to diamond I was asking about how long it takes people to make the initial climb once they hit Platinum, since it seems that B/S/G were very quick for the majority of people here. How obtuse can you actually be? i'm not being obtuse at all. how long it takes to get to diamond is entirely dependent on how good you play. Why are you asking questions with obvious answers? Unless you're under the assumption that you deserve to be in diamond and you just need to play enough games that the luck doesn't matter (so at 60%consistent winrate it might be 50 games or whatever) which I what I assumed since otherwise it's a trivial question.
