Looking at the statistics, she has 45%ish winrate in EUW diamond soloQ and I myself would definitely say she doesn't work well at all in general. She is simply weaker than other junglers, especially during teamfights and lategame generally, and she isn't exceptional in any phase of the game regardless of how good your mechanics are. | ||

Elise is a champ of subtleties, whether or not she is going to carry her weight in a teamfight is not immediately apparent, whereas when malphite goes "DUURRRRHHH!!" and shoves the enemy team into the air it's a pretty clear indicator to anyone that it's time to commit, and split-second, obvious communication like that is very important when you're in a team of complete strangers. | ||
