Q: "How do you think Santorin compares to other junglers from scrims? A: "santorin is close to the same level as meteos" Dyrus opinion is super relevant, not like they are in same team.

Yeah remember that time Dyrus lied to us about how good Gleeb and Amazing were going to be.
oh wait

So two people, one of which is Santorin's teammate and the other is Crumbzz?

Correct.
I honestly can't grasp the whole idea as Dyrus is his teammate and would obviously say something along that lines, or at the worst put him mid tier, but having Crumbzz also remark upon Santorin does give it some hope. I think that Santorin might be 3rd, behind Dominate and Meteos.
|
I dunno, when is the last time Crumbz or any LCS player has really been disparaging? If Doublelift was singing his praise, that would be one thing, but most pro players are friends with each other and always look to compliment each other. I mean, if Crumbz said Santorin was shit, then maybe TSM wouldn't scrim them.
I dunno, I guess I'm with others. I'll believe Santorin is as good as Meteos when I see it, because I didn't see it in the challenger series and I didn't see it at IEM San Jose either.

Well I guess I'll just repeat myself and then explain the point that I was making.
Yeah like how dyrus lied to us about how good gleeb and amazing were going to be
Oh wait
The point of this sarcastic comment is to illustrate that with precedent for other people joining TSM, we can determine that dyrus is probably not just talking up his teammate without reason as he didn't do the same thing for previous new faces on TSM.

No one here is missing what you're saying. They just don't agree with it. Meteos level is a particular stretch and you're in a fantasy world if you believe it.

I haven't been following Dyrus much. Did he say Gleeb was a pretty mediocre to bad support who had a bad laning phase and no mid game to late game team fight presence? All I remember is Lord Loco being quoted as saying Gleeb would become better than Xpecial by the end of summer split.

Nah, but what Dyrus didn't do was say that Amazing was near meteos level, and turns out, he wasn't. And he also didn't say anything about Gleeb, and turns out Gleeb wasn't a god. Now he is saying some positive stuff about Santorin, perhaps we ought to take this into consideration, or we can be complete idiots and disregard it.

1) Cloud9 - This will be their last regular split as first. From now on teams will catch up, communication will be sorted out, top lane will be very competitive this split, junglers are more mechanically proficient and finally coaching staff will be recognized by Riot and it will help teams to choose strategies to go in with, and edge that C9 held over other teams. Summer split will be extremely competitive and there won't be any definite predictions at the beginning of the split
2) TeamSoloMid - TSM will be banking on the communication flaws of teams and jungle control with their strong mid lane presence. Santorin, if he's a long term investment, needs to be coached on strategy; I've frequently seen Loco and Bjerg talk about strategy and going by IEM, putting so much pressure on Bjerg may result in unwanted results. Santorin's jungle pool is similar to Amazing's but I think he shows signs of Amazing when he started, being too passive. Turtle and Lustboy seem to have found common ground after their performance at worlds. I think C9 and TSM are the main contenders for top 2.
3/4) Team Liquid/Winterfox - TL have strong Top/Jungle synergy and I'm not too sure about the midlane. Quas is a great toplaner and I've thought at the later stages of Summer 2014 that Dom looked to be the best NA jungler, especially with Voyboy getting comfortable with midlane. I think Miso has big shoes to fill since Voyboy and Dom were the dominant force of Curse with Voyboy being the late game shot caller and Dom early game shots and they together made midlane calls. Previously, Voy was also known as an emotional pillar in Curse and kept morale high. Feenix being mechanical strong is fine but can he replace Voyboy? Piglet and Xpecial will be a good 2v2 lane; top 2 along with Double and Aphro but I don't think they'll be as dominant as a force in team fights. At least not at the beginning of this split. On the other hand Altec and Avalon will probably get fucked hard in lane, probably going even with botlanes of T8, Dig, Coast only. I'm not too sure about Imagine's credentials except that he's mechanically strong (top 20 Korean challenger) but Altec can't communicate as well and they'll have to rely on gestures in game to understand each other. Toward the end of the split they'll hit their stride and Altec will be NA's premier ADC at the end of Summer 2015. Altec should be fine outside of laning phase; he plays Jinx and Tristana, he knows to stay behind and do damage and considering the threats of Pob+Helios and play from imagine. I feel like the only problem for WFX would be the performance of Avalon. I haven't heard great things about him and it's crucial how he plays against Quas, balls, impact, Gamsu, Dyrus, Zion, Cali and Hauntzer.
5) Team Impulse - I'm just speculating on this team right now. I feel that this team will hit their stride near the end of the split. Adrian is probably the one with the most potential among the new blood supports; he's still young but in 2-3 years he'll be the most mechanically proficient support. Wiz isn't that impressive but it's not that he isn't skilled, he just played off carelessness in SoloQ and it's harder to do that in a professional setting. Regardless, the real threat of the team is from the jungle. Rush will make or break this team. Xiaoweixiao used to just win mid and kept farming to become strong mid game and late game. He'll need to have more early presence in this meta but Rush and Impact share the same language and Impact is a proven top laner so there will be a lot of blood against teams with weak toplaner and top/jungle synergy. They have Jin Air's Flyy as part of coaching staff so I feel like this team will be top 3 by the end of the year but early in the split they'll only beat teams with weak solo-laners
6) Team Gravity - Saint is mechanically a weaker jungle (although it's not like his mechanics are bad, the new junglers are just very mechanically strong) however he has his head in the right place. I think he just gets the game but he has a tougher time trying to apply it (needs to be on the same page as his teammates, etc). The problem is his mental block on objectives, I think the whole smitevicious ordeal is getting to him and is negatively impacting him when he tries to secure objectives. Keane has a pretty large champion pool but I'm not entirely sure about how he'll fare among the likes of xwx, Bjerg, Pob, etc. I want to see Hecarim and Corki mid when necessary but I think Keane has to either hold even or win lane in order to be able to win games. Cop and Fufu will make opportunities and capitalize on them but they'll be bullied by stronger matchups if fufu isn't on his strong champions. There might still be a negative connotation associated with Cop but he's legit good. I think he's good at dealing damage while keeping safe.
7) Counter Logic Gaming - Map control is one of the most important aspects of this new jungle and Xmithie/Link is quite a lackluster pair to control the map with. Xmithie sacrifices farm to get his laners ahead, however Link right now is not like Mancloud at his prime. Zion, however, is an upgrade from Benny and he's great to have in comms. He has good map awareness however his TP's and roaming is dependent on his team's map control, which might be difficult to attain with a weak central power. It's up to Double and Aphro to put the team on their back and just kill and kite back. I initially put them higher since this is the team that will take the largest fall near the end of the season since the skill floor for this team is high but the cap is much lower than the other teams who they could have beaten early this season (Zion banned the first week and less importantly, scarra not being able to communicate in champion select for 3 weeks). I expect CLG to rape teams with weak bot lanes but their power will fall off middle of the split as teams have better understand of Dragon control and toplaners will TP bot with jungle and mid in hot pursuit.
8) Dignitas - The primary issues for this team is communication. I firmly believe Gamsu will be the best toplaner in NA after this split. If Dig get relegated, I hope some top team picks him up. Perhaps TSM where they will have the support staff to mold him into the new Dyrus. Nonetheless, Crumbzz has proven time and time again that he's not as strong as we like to think he is. KiWiKiD has always been the worst player in the LCS. He was an awful toplaner and he's a pretty horrible support as well. He plays the role of top lane from support so he doesn't have to suffer laning phase. He doesn't understand the intricacies of laning and CoreJJ is experiencing what Turtle had to the previous split; laning with Gleeb and then having to adjust with Lustboy. CoreJJ didn't impress me at all at IEM but there's a lot more story to tell here. Once he understands how to use KiWiKiD (as a 3rd summoner spell) Dig may have a chance to win. But this is the Coast story all over again.
9) Coast - Impaler is the shining light for this team. He's a strong jungler. Jesiz is too weak and Cris straight out sucks. Mash and Sheep are alright.
10) Team 8 - They're not as bad as people make them out to be but they're not good either. They'll take games off of important teams when they snowball though.

I mostly agree with your standings, though I disagree with some points within them:
I'm not sure DL/Aphro will be a dominating bot lane this split, with how on fire Sneaky has looked lately I could easily see Sneaky/Lemon being one of the strongest bots alongside Piglet/Xpecial.
I also disagree that Dom looked like the strongest NA jungler. He looked good at the end of the split, but Curse were not doing so hot for the first half. Dom can go nuts in games if he gets ahead, but I think Meteos is still more consistent than him.
I agree with what you said about Link/Xmithie, I have to wonder if we'll instead see a more C9 style approach from CLG where Xmithie instead tries to snowball the top lane rather than mid. Meteos loves to camp for Balls, I could see Xmithie trying to get Zion going rather than Link who doesn't really seem like he can be a huge carry.

If Santorin is Meteos level at least there will be 2 competent junglers in LCS.
On the bright side, there is no way Santorin could be worse than Amazing.

1 - Cloud 9 2 - TSM 3 - CLG 4 - TL
Anything below fourth doesn't really concern me.
