1. C9. No comment needed 2. TL. I think their botlane will carry and Dom will finally became the best jungler in NA 3. TSm. Big downgrade in the jungle and Turtle has been shit for too long. Dyrus in mediocre. Team Solo Mid indeed. 4. CLG will be inconsistent in the split and not win a single game in playoffs. 5. Gravity. The definition of a mediocre team. They will beat the bad teams and lose to better teams. 6. WTX should have payed for better Koreans. 7. TIP. Too big of an experiment for me. 8. Coast. Impaler is good, and Jezis will do fine against NA mids. They will replace their toplaner in the middle of the split. 9. Dignitas. Awful but better than T8 10. Team 8

Hard to put anyone except C9 at the top. TL is a threat, TSM is always going to be near the top as well. But C9 is the most complete NA team.
A lot of teams are in a kind of flux, which of them emerge as legit is hard to tell. I would bet on Impulse being good though, and I think Dignitas may be truly horrendous, but time will tell.
1) C9 2) TL 3) TSM 4) TiP 5) WFX 6) CLG (Hoping I'm wrong and they do better) 7) GRV 8) DIG 9) CST 10) T8

I'm surprised by how many people are ranking WFX in the top half of the standings. Everyone on the team but Altec speaks Korean. Altec also had a really amazing summer split. Now they also got rid of Innox, easily the worst player on their team. While I'll also agree that picking up unproven Koreans isn't a good choice. But who do we rate above them? CLG? Not after IEM, CLG is playing like it's solo q. Dig? Definitely not after IEM. Impulse? They'll have significant communication problems and their ADC is Wizfujin. It's less the fact Winterfox is being hyped as it it is Winterfox is a known quantity and looks superior to the competition.
In other words it's like picking poop out of a pile of poop. You try and pick the best looking one

After their performance at IEM and with a clear downgrade in their already weakest position of jungle, a more important role in season 5, I don't find this surprising.

They could be fielding gold players and Galt would have them first :p

1. Cloud 9 - C9 are first until proven otherwise 2. Team Liquid - Honestly I'd have placed them top three even with vooby/cop now they got them fancy Koreans so that's hella cool. Voyadominar is fast on the path to filling the void left by xmithie's tragic death after S3 worlds with the rest of vulcun 3. TSM - Same as C9, top three until proven otherwise. Still got bjergsen, still got dyrus, still got lustboy. They're good to go 4. Winterfox - I'm nowhere near as high on pobelter as others are, altec on the other hand is pretty sweet. Their fancy new Koreans are questionable but helios and the boy wonders are a great combo and as long as their top isn't worse than innox are a strong team 5. TiP - Xiaoweixiao alone keeps TiP high, in spite of a very bizarre dalliance with fizz at worlds I still believe that he's easily a top three mid in NA. Impact is fun, rushIX may turn out great and if this multi-cultural exchange works out and wizfujin unlocks his lomoQ potential then they may even make a case for the championship. 6. Gravity - Keane is cool, saint's back baby, cop is still cop. Bunny/Hauntzer hype NA talent overall decent team, don't see them rising that high but I think they can comfortably make playoffs at the worst. 7. CLG - Anything I could say has been said a billion times, they're seventh and that's all I'll add 8. Dignitas - Core bombed at IEM, kiwikid still on his worst bowlhaviour, gamsu was okay, crumbzz looked dire, dignitoss was in full action but at least shiphtur played well at IEM. So that's nice 9/10. T8/CST - Outside of impaler and sheep I have minimal faith in both teams, dodo/maplestreet looked sad at IEM even as subs, I don't rate porpoise or slooshi that highly and I think calitrolz is sometimes too cute for his own good. Meanwhile cris is cris, jesiz is jesiz and dontmashme is okay. Coast looked underwhelming in expansions and I expect it to continue

The thing about CLG....despite everyone being down on them, they do have some excellent pieces. Its just that they don't seem to be able to fit them together, which it seems like is ALWAYS their problem. A team with DLift and Zion on it should not be an also-ran in the NA LCS, yet thats what might end up happening, which is kind of nuts.
One thing potentially in their favor is that with there being a lot of new lineups other teams might not necessarily be any better at teamfighting or have better synergy. Some of the worse NA matchups might devolve into solo q games, in which case I'd bet on CLG in a lot of cases. I think they're clearly behind C9/TSM/TL and probably behind Impulse, which is unfortunate for a team with so much history

Even if they default to the protect the adc tactic I hope that the team will just own up to it and play it as well as they can. As someone who got into League of Legends by hearing about then watching HotshotGG's stream, I hope CLG can find their stride.

I am sure there will be games were they will crush teams with tons of highlight type plays. but when they play a team like c9 are they just gonna crumble objective after objective tills ballz melts them all away with a final equalizer.

I don't know about Pobelter, but if you asked me to compare, for example, Altec against Doublelift, or Altec against CoreJJ, or Altec against Wildturtle.... I'd pick Altec without hesitation every time. He was a star among the EG members last season, and the rest of that team wasn't awful.

C9 most likely to come first, TSM will be their only competition at the very start I think barring any TL surprise, TL should be competitive as time goes on but im not confident enough to assume 2nd for TL. WFX TiP CLG and Gravity are all solid is hard to really order them too precisely because it will probably come down to how well they each so long term, CLG most likely will come out on the top end of the middle due to similar line up to last year and no language barriers. Does anyone know if all the WFX members speak korean? if so they have no language issues at all and should be strong if their new members are good. Dig Coast and T8 are probably bottom tier and will be fighting to avoid relegation.
either way this season will be pretty interesting to see if korean imports with no experience work out and if the solid NA lineups hold up for another season.
New players to watch are probably Piglet, Fenix, Santorin and the WFX imports as I believe they will be the deciding factors in who will be able to catch C9.

1. C9 2. TSM 3. Winterfox 4. Team Liquid 5. Dignitas 6. CLG 7. Team Impulse 8. Team Coast 9. Gravity 10. Team 8
I just want to talk about Winterfox who I will be rooting for this season. They could either be a boom or bust team this split and it all comes down to Altec imo. He looked really really good last split and if Imagine can perform and develop a nice relationship i think they could be devastating. The laning phase might be a struggle but Altec in team fights is impressive and really could carry this team to the playoffs.
Pobelter looks good and played really well last split. His consistency issues i think are mostly just hold overs from the Throwbelter days. He has been good for awhile and he could be legitimately top 2 or 3 Mid Laners if he continues to imrpove. Helios I think will be looked at in this team as the Leader, The Captain, The Rock... he looked pretty good last year but also showed some holes. Still i think he will be better with the new jungle changes. At worst hes one of the better junglers in a league with a lot of questions at the position. At best he is fighting for best jungler in the league.
Now it comes down to the new guys. A korean Solo Q support who is top tier challenger level and never had competitive experience and Helios' brother who has very very limited experience and is a D1 korean player. Both are cleraly huuuuuuuuge question marks. There is probably no chance that Imagine is as good as Krepo was towards the end of last split. Avalon though has a chance to improve the team compared to Innox. Innox's strengths never fit with the team and if Avalon can come in and play top lane as someone who will protect and enable Pobelter and Altec and do it well, that will be a huge improvement. Innox was more of a carry top laner and the team really needed someone to enable pob and altec to shine not someone who was also trying to shine.
Overall they seem to have a good support system set up. They should be pretty good communication wise compared to other teams. 4 of them speak korean as long as the bot lane can manage the communication problem well it shouldn't effect them at all. Helios is the clear shot caller here, so I dont think its going to be a big issue. EG had massive massive shot calling issues and Helios quickly bandaged that problem last split. It wasn't perfect but i hope after a whole off season they will come with some crisp shot calling. Presumably they have been playing as a team for longer than a lot of people having been in Korea for the last 2 months or so.
Anyways thats just my take as a EG fan who is struggling with the Brand change but still really likes this team. I guess im going to have some Winterfox flair and maybe some shirts/hoodies once their store shows up. Even though i am very positive about the team, i admit... they could absolutely get relegated and get shit on if it doesn't come together just right lol

Is this for this split only or for whole year?
1. TSM 2. C9 3. CLG 4. TL 5. Winterfox 6. Impulse 7. Dignitas 8. Gravity 9. Team Coast 10. Team 8
Swap TSM and C9 if for this split only. Also, you can take the team out of Curse but you can't take the curse out of the team.
