Because Alex garfield owns the brands EG and Alliance. he's not allowed to do that. He had to pick between having his company that sells sponsorships to both teams, pick between having only 1 brand be supported by him, and keep that brand name, OR stop selling his brand to those teams and have them both have to find new names, but his company can continue controlling their sponsorships. They felt Alex garfield had too much control over "THEIR" scene. so they punished him for it. thats why i want him to begin selling sponsorships to the rest of the scene, but that was explicitly allowed by riot. and alex ends up with even more control than before the rule. | ||

EDIT: I guess that's actually the same thing from a practical standpoint as the second option, since, again, he still owns both teams, he just profits indirectly by selling the rights for someone to put their brand on the team rather than directly selling his own brand. | ||

I'd love for a company to have the brand for the new EG, and that company owns another company that owns the new brand for Alliance. and have the company put GoodGame Agency in charge. because if the companies are incorporated, they are separate individuals from alex garfield, even if he's CEO of them, by US law. so riot can't prove anything. | ||

I mean that's still sort of against what the new rule actually states, but again, it's entirely impossible for Riot to actually enforce that because it involves hundreds of man-hours sniffing around every LCS team organization and every sponsor/branding organization that they are each involved in order to look for something that may or may not exist, and if it does exist and is found, doesn't even practically benefit Riot to find. | ||

Jungle range abuse mini-guide (should I refine this into a separate thread / guide eventually? Open to thoughts): Not that it matters, but I guess it can't hurt to include these Twitch Runes: +29% AS, +9 armour, +27 MR@18 Masteries: 21/9/0 Not optimal but that's not the point of this guide. AS can affect resetting stuff, so important to include. 0.90 AS @ lv1. While I didn't start every camp with full HP (picture taking and typing between camps gave me weird downtime for HP accuracy), you can probably use the pics as a metric to know you'll be taking that much or less damage I guess? Some of these pictures are also from different games. http://i.imgur.com/AGRpVft.png Rocks: Pretty simple, every botlane duo knows how to do this. If you stand further to the right, little rock will keep hitting you (bodyblocking big rock) and deal low-negligible damage, but this adjustment will also 100% prevent resets afaik (useful if you don't have smite or execute abilities). You can also stand closer to Red or tribush, but I haven't practiced this. When it's at about half health, you can smite + use Rock buff to prevent any damage and finish it off within it's attack range. Of note is that big rock has a little bit of range but it shouldn't matter. http://i.imgur.com/DSrn3C4.png Red: Pretty simple. You can get closer than you think. On buff camps, a reset can cost up to 5 seconds and 50hp or so, so try not to let it do this. Chalice's fear is wholly reasonable, and I do recommend keeping Smite handy or kiting after a while (Rock buff means you won't take damage) if you're still learning or playing a champ without an execute. http://i.imgur.com/zUZdLLn.png Birds: Very tricky. Big bird has range and can get into a half-reset pattern where it hits you about half the time, which is dangerous without an execute or smite due to the speed of the bird allowing this to quickly turn into a whole reset. If you do it right Big bird won't reset (but you will take damage from it), so unless you have an AoE ability it's fine to just let the little birds dance around resetting. Different spots will let you take different amounts of damage from the little birds depending on how many hit you. This takes practice and I'm not great at it yet. If 1 little bird and the big bird is hitting you on and off then that's pretty solid, but this camp is still dangerous without Rock buff or smite. I find this to be the most consistent spot (0.5 little birds, big bird on and off and won't reset with Rock buff – some variation). If you put a ward in the bush you can lure them close to the mid inner turret, but you can't quite reach the range to benefit from the shield. http://i.imgur.com/kfdlrl0.png Blue: Probably the easiest of all imo. Can be done on the other side of the rock (down and left of where I am in the pic) but seems less consistent and I haven't been punished for this yet so I haven't had to practice it. No real advice other than that even if it resets it can be kited trivially because it's super slow. http://i.imgur.com/rD3i7Z7.png Wolves: Tricky, but not as bad as Birds. This spot leaves 1 little wolf hitting you and the others dancing around. It's a difficult camp to learn and test with because the wolves move so quickly, making even a quick step backwards sometimes lead to a reset. Typically won't reset once you're stationary, though (maybe it has to do with attack range?). It seems to matter how you kite them up to this spot, and I have the most success going upwards before going to the left. You can also do this near mid but I haven't practiced it much because it's an annoying camp to practice on. http://i.imgur.com/Tz0Twbw.png Frog: This doesn't really work. You have to kite in and out of it's maximum attack range without leading it out of it's reset range. By wiggling left and right of where I am in the picture I can consistently cancel about 1/2 – 2/3 of it's attacks, but it's probably possible to do better. This one really needs a video instead of a picture. It hurts the most out of any of the camps, though, and I generally just avoid it altogether unless I have Rock buff or smite. I'm pretty busy writing final papers and such but this is fun so let me know if I need to clarify things at all. | ||

I don't believe the DoT has anything to do with it, since Gnar functions similarly and did in the old jungle as well. Additionally, all junglers apply a DoT with their auto attacks because of machete's new passive. | ||

The way I understand it, EG and ALL are (theoretically) completely controlled by GGA since the EG and ALL brand along with the team's revenue stream are under Garfield's thumb despite Garfield not owning either team. As I understand it, LCS spots belong to the brand, not the players so the latter option would basically boot the team from LCS. Riot wants LCS to be like major sports leagues. That is, one organization owns and controls one team (usually). The problem is that unlike major sports leagues, many teams don't do their own sponsorship searching. GGA does that for a bunch of teams, making it kind of an utterly pointless rule change since whoever controls the money controls the team (or at least exerts a shitton of influence over them). Quibbling about the feasibility of riffling through paperwork to see what company owns what is kind of a pointless concern. That happens in basically every industry, not just gaming. It's also not that hard to figure out unless the companies get really really creative or are multi-national. Essentially, the rules change forces people like Garfield to either 1) play by Riot's rules or 2) spend a lot of their own resources making shell companies (which may or may not be worth the effort). | ||

There's a big difference between E->Q on champions every so often and having to do the same thing except for every single one of your CS (I exaggerate since 1 Q serves multiple Es, but you get the idea). For a similar reason I would have preferred that they left E at a .6 or .7 second CD after reset (compensating her DPS of course) since after playing new Cass for awhile I actually got annoyed with having to press E so much (though when I made that remark on the official forums I got downvoted quickly, sadface). It's not quite a mini-game on the scale of, say, Draven's axes, but it's still there. | ||
