#1 advice for anyone trying to develop a following: Set a schedule and keep to it. That means:
- Streaming regularly and at predictable hours.
- Uploading highlights/videos in a timely fashion.
- Keeping this up consistently for months.
Everyone else's advice is good too, just be prepared to stick with this. It's going to take a ton of time and effort before it's profitable.

Kat is the most played but by no means the highest win rate.

Pretty stacked teams on Krepo`s stream duoing with Rekkles. They are up against Jankos jungle, Wickd top, Febiven mid and Rallez and Hjärnan bot. But they really tryhard and the stream is really informative.

I think this entire "1300 on credit" thing sounds ridiculously risky.
It takes a long time to build up your viewerbase. If you got 1300 in cash to spare, sure. I just cannot see the justification of this much money via credit because it will take you a long time to get the money back even if you manage to succeed.

Re streaming.
Dont be an asshole. Either in game or to your viewers or to yourself. Nightblue is extremely positive and i think thats a large part of his appeal. Matlife is extremely hard on himself in game and it was not fun to watch.
The visual presentation doesnt really matter much to me. Boxbox's stream is filled with nonsense and it looks stupid.
I would suggest checking out fatefalls. He is a fizz main in challenger. He seems like a nice guy, has a smartly designed layout, and interacts with viewers.
Have a ama/faq easily linked so people can learn about you/why they should watch you. Cowsep is an american living in korea as an english teacher. He only plays yi in masters and all the koreans know him. I learned that from his reddit ama.
I dont watch any streams of people below diamond. I hope you are good. I get enough of low elo in my own games. Being good at one champ or role is key.

What's your life situation Jay? Are you broke as a joke if you don't become a popular streamer?
I don't think many people have been successful at quitting their job and becoming a big streamer. Rather they become a big streamer, then quit their job and become a full-time streamer.

He said he was still working. I talked to him a bunch about this last night and he seems to know what it entails (for example many streamers are at it for over a year before becoming really popular or achieving oartnership).

I tried streaming before. I thought I was okay at being entertaining enough and a good enough jokester when I was with friends but I realized after that I hate talking to people I don't know and am too antisocial to stream properly . Interacting with viewers is difficult if not weird already for me since with a small amount of viewers there's going to be a lot of interaction with specific people. Then again, I only had like 16 people watching tops.
Also, if you live in a place with shitty internet upload speeds, you may as well just give up now. I've streamed with around 4Mbps and I wouldn't watch myself with that little quality (I think I was going 720p 48fps though).

I can't stress this out enough. I've got all my Youtube subscribers and Facebook followers from the time where I used to release an SC2 video EVERY DAY. I did it for around a year and that really kicked things off.
Now it's the opposite. I do it only on and off and nobody gives a fuck anymore. I'm randomly recognised by French players in soloQ/IRL but that's it. Only a glimmer of what it was when I was doing regular content.
Man, working sucks...

Anyone have any suggestions, tips, ideas ect, ect. - don't put it on credit card if you can't pay it off by end of month, interest rates will rape you to oblivion. - webcam! people love face cams (assuming you're at least as good looking as qtpie, can't be that hard) - show cleavage. - what do you plan on streaming? I'm assuming LoL? get good, I think there are only like 2 or 3 non d1-skill level male streamers that break 1k views regularly, if you want to be the big name, one of the best ways is to get good first. - always stream the hype'd up new AAA titles. - be funny, funny gets views, and keeps views. - regular stream schedule, remember if you plan on making money, treat it like a job. put in the hours, and put them in regularly

How bad do you guys think the Q nerf to Ryze on the PBE will hurt him? 60/85/110/135/160 => 40/60/80/100/120
Debating on picking up an AP top but I don't want to drop the IP on the glyph set if he's gonna be poop and be most of my way to somebody like Rumble.

Also jay i want to mention you can get a streaming rig for 750-800 not 1300. if you want to add quality you can spend 25 on a green screen, 150 on a top quality mic and 50 is good enough for a face cam of exceptional quality and you can get lighting for 25 more if you really want it. so thats still under 1k total. unless you plan on streaming cry-engine games or super modern titles, its not worth the extra 500 dollars on a computer.

god i looked up my old stuff i was trying to get done. i bit off so much more than i could chew and i got stuck in a spot i couldnt do anything once initial plans fell through>
jay. stick to just streaming don't try to expand beyond that. don't bother with highlight reels early or anything outside of the stream until you feel super prepared to spend hours in prep a day. i have a huge guilty feeling from the stuff i announced and could never follow through up on for various reasons from Bnet account getting stolen to the guy i was talking with helping me being a scammer ect.

I think this is the most important part. And it's important to remember that you're never going to please everyone. If people don't like your personality, then they won't watch. But try to be yourself and as inviting and fun as possible.
When I was streaming league regularly, my play improved quite a bit because I knew people were watching and would criticize my mistakes. Also, I would occasionally do streams of consciousness, which helped keep my play focused because it would force me to constantly be thinking of the right plays.

If that goes through as is. he'll be weak to the early all in champions but still good against the standard pro style top lanes of mundo/maokai ect. probably forced to lane swap vs rumble as he almost always does now anyway. you could still be successful in solo queue with him, but you'll have to learn how to play defensive and not try for risky cs early vs some of the strong lane champs.

Good. When a champion is as strong as he is late game, his early game should suffer to make up for it.
