Alright, we're going to call it a day with all the Thorin drama, guys. I figured if it was about SI, onGamers, TSM, etc, it had some relevance to League but somehow you guys managed to devolve the discussion into an issue about race of all things.

Enough is enough. Let's move along now.

I often don't feel burning flash is worth leaving the jungle. Like sometimes it takes a lot of time and mana to set up the gank and then all I get out of it is a flash? Maybe take some poke? Lame.
I think in our modern age technology has evolved to become more addictive. The things that don't give us pleasure aren't used as much. Work was never meant to be fun, but doing it makes us happier in the long run.

Yeah, exactly. It can be worth in certain occasions (things enemy middle laner without escapes having to blow flash when you are jarvan and your middle laner can support ganks well) but I agree most of the time you just wasted about 45s of your time.

I think it's just hard to quantify. It's easy to see it as a waste because we don't keep track of kills the rest of our team get that are a result of that burned flash. It could be having an impact but we just don't see the direct impact right away.

as right you should
as a jungler you tend to know when a gank is good or not, the only real useful info laners can give you without using voicechat or whatever is if they have flash or not.
most laners are just like HURR IM LOSINGH LANE I WANT A GANK PLS PLS PLS

many a jungler has had their heart broken by peer pressure trying to keep teammates happy and not do what theythink is right
stay strong brothers

I think it's the laners job to blow the flash for you so ganks become available.

Also most useful tip for jungling, 'let the dying lanes die'

I wish that would always work.

Unfortunately a big majority of players will throw/rage when they lose lane and their jungler does not help them.

The problem is when you look at those 99% chance of success ganks

There's a good chance if the enemy jungler (and laner) are not crap you are walking right into a countergank

If you have deep warding you usually have a general idea where the jungler is.

The problem is that the jungler can still come through lane, take another route, it's very difficult (or expensive) to have wards positioned perfectly to cover all avenues of approach.

Either way, the point I want to make is that ganks are a judgement call. You shouldn't have to force them extremely hard to just burn flash, and there's a chance when it looks too good to be true it could actually be.

A countergank is only an issue if you're outnumbered or behind. Either way the enemy laner is baiting your laners anyways into death. Better to take initiative imo.

I think burning flash early on champs like Kayle and ryze as a jungler can be really worth. It forces them to play the lane a little different and most of the time will result in kills on a follow up gank or allow you to put pressure else where because there jungler will be looking to protect them with a counter gank. But there are other times it is simply not worth like gee you got leblancs flash awesome now she only has a 99 percent chance to get away next time.

How do I get my mojo back?

i can do a song for a laner with a useless jungle vs a good jungle if you want

On June 16 2014 01:31 SagaZ wrote:

1. Trust yourself

Many young junglers are getting so much advice from their mid laners and from their top laners and from everyone. But what is most important is that you have to dig deep down, dig deep down and ask yourselves, where do you want to be? Not what lane, but where. Figure out for yourselves what makes you happy, no matter how crazy it may sound to other players.

2. Break the Rules

Break the rules, not the summoners code, but break the rules. It is impossible to be a maverick or a true original if you’re too well behaved and don’t want to break the rules. You have to think outside the box. That’s what I believe. After all, what is the point of being on this rift if all you want to do is be liked by everyone and avoid trouble?

3. Don’t Be Afraid to Fail

In any gank I’ve ever attempted, I was always willing to fail. So you can’t always win, but don’t afraid of making decisions. You can’t be paralyzed by fear of failure or you will never push yourself. You keep pushing because you believe in yourself and in your vision and you know that it is the right thing to do, and success will come. So don’t be afraid to fail.

4. Don’t Listen to the Naysayers

How many times have you heard that you can’t do this and you can’t do that and it’s none of the pros ever do it? I love it when someone says that no one has ever done this before, because then when I do it that means that I’m the first one that has done it. So pay no attention to the people that say it can’t be done. I never listen to, “You can’t.” I always listen to myself and say, “Yes, you can.”

5. Work Your Butt Off

You never want to fail because you didn’t work hard enough. Mohammed Ali, one of my great heroes, had a great line in the ’70s when he was asked, “How many sit-ups do you do?” He said, “I don’t count my sit-ups. I only start counting when it starts hurting. When I feel pain, that’s when I start counting, because that’s when it really counts.” That’s what makes you great at a champion. No pain, no gain.
But when you’re out there trolling, horsing around, someone out there at the same time is working hard. Someone is getting smarter and someone is winning. Just remember that. Now, if you want to coast through League, don’t pay attention to any of those rules. But if you want to win, there is absolutely no way around hard, hard work. Just remember, you can’t climb the ladder of LoL with both your hands on the keyboard.

6. Give Back

Whatever jungle path that you take in your games, you must always find time to give something back to your lanes, something back to your feeders, help winning lanes snowball.

Remember these 6 rules. Trust yourself, break some rules, don’t be afraid to fail, ingore the naysayers, work like hell, and give something back.

Ezpz, farm mid and jungle. Farm all minions. They belong to you cuz technically the jungle doesn't end when you go past tribrush, there's brush in lanes too.

Pleb laner detected.

I mean obviously there are time when your laner just got counterpicked, and they might be losing the lane, then that's fine to help out by forcing silly ganks so the enemy doesn't press their advantage too hard. It's another when your laner just dies 1v1, 2 times before the 5 minute mark.

Heres the parody for laners stuck with a useless jungler and making mistakes trying help him

(source song; parody follows it verse by verse:
)
I don't know what you're looking for
You haven't found it baby, that's for sure
You pinged me top and just turned around
You picked rammus and just feed all the time

And this is not a case of greed, you see
It's not a matter of you KS'ing me
It's fine the way you want to feed on your own
Because in the end it's always me alone

And I'm losing my favourite lane
You're falling behind again
I'm losing my KDA
Losing my favorite lane

I only know what I've been talking for
Another you so we'd have ganks galore
I really thought that I could flash that snare
But my experiment is not getting us anywhere

We had vision and I pinged on sight
A stupid mission and a lethal fight
I should have seen it and just abandoned you
Now I have to back and their Ahri has blue

And I'm losing my favorite lane
You're falling behind again
I'm losing my favorite lane
You're falling behind again
I'm losing my KDA
Losing my favorite lane

I'm losing my favorite lane
You're falling behind again
I've tried
I've tried
But you're still the same
I'm losing my KDA
You're losing with a Draven main.
