Isn't it just minion death, regardless of damage source? I thought it didn't matter whether your adc last hit it or not. Then again I thought the mastery was like that too, then i played a game yesterday and i was only getting the 1 gold for minions my adc actually managed to last hit. (Not sure if it's always been like that or only since the patch though.)

Yup, it's minions dying so doesn't matter if your duo last hits or not. You're going to "lose regen" if you roam or leave lane to ward while the wave isn't dead, for example. Can't gain these 10 HP that'll save you from Requiem either while you're walking away from the fight.

So, I've been testing support with Spellthief, right.
In games where I go Spellthief and the other support goes Coin, I'm consistently getting twice as much gold from my item as the other guy.
It is a lot of gold. 1500-2000 per game.

I'm really starting to be curious who the Korean rep will be for IEM Katowice, I'm really hoping MIdas FIO gets it, just because I want to see how much damage Lactea's Draven will do against teams that won't remember to ban it against him. It's more than likely going to be Blaze, Bullets, or SKT K, though  Although SKT S and KT Arrows are probably better competition currently than Bullets, and arguable vs Blaze.

The bullets seems to have taken a big step back by moving Kakao to Arrows and putting in an out of position sub. Granted, they've only played 1 game, but it looked awful.

Blaze and S played one of the greatest matches I've seen in Masters the other day, so I'm willing to put them close together, and both are way better than Frost/Bullet's currently.

Yeah...I can't really blame S there though, the first game was a mental marathon and they only had a half hour to rest after 70 minutes. The experience of Blaze shined through in that game, nothing else to say.

I kinda hope neither Blaze of SKT K goes. Them going can only be bad for the overall scene. Either they go and stomp people like we expect, or one of them drops a set and we have to hear 10 days of "See Korea isn't so great!!!111!"
