YUP Where does the sale mention him using the skin in the last game? It's just the skins of the series overall, not of game 3, they even state it first thing.

The point was ( I believe ) that Faker had never used a skin in professional play up until this series. It just happened to be BB Riven. He is suggesting that Riot asked him to wear the skin so they could use it for the sale.

Faker used a skin for the first time ever on Riven in game 1 and then didn't use a skin ever again. He used Battle Bunny Riven

Which game/s did he cast? and any one got link to VoDs of those? http://www.twitch.tv/esltv_lol/b/498861619 First set. I recommend to watch it from the very beginning, crowd is absolutely hilarious and brutal. Never heard a whole audience boo out a team like that before in eSports.

I don't think it's that far-fetched. Their biggest drawback is the lack of exposure to international competition and gameplay, so they're kind of stuck in the same mode of play by being in one of the more region-locked regions. From what I've seen, the LA scene players are decent. I don't think it's a stretch to put them on par with a mid-tier LCS team if they had more chances to play.

If anything, a team losing to another team from their region in an international tournament is the least indicative of their strength. Intra-region games tends to be a lot more volatile. Just look at team-kills in individual leagues in Broodwar, or at Royal beating OMG at World's.

Like that game W7 v Lyon, Trist gets a double kill and immediately picks up an Avarice Blade and a Brawler's Glove. And Jason Kaplan is trying justify it. No. Just stop. I almost regret bringing words like "timing" into the world of LoL. People throw it around and have no fk clue wtf they're actually talking about.

No. Just stop. Eh, what's the alternative? Zeal? More money #1. He felt like he was ahead enough that he didn't need the extra combat stats, and would rather get a bit of extra gold. It builds into Shiv anyways, it's not -that- outlandish, especially not in a game where Weedwizard Darien graces us with stuff like this... http://gambit-gaming.com/en/article/255

Into a double DBlade Lucian. And then got first item Shiv with no AD items. Zzz.

I don't think it's nearly as bad as you're making it out to be. Trist pushes the lane so he might as well just push faster to avoid awkward lane positions and just having it reset at tower, and it gives his support more freedom to run around. Disclaimer: I didn't see the game, but there are really so many builds worse than Shiv first...

I actually remember hearing a pro talking about possible trist build paths, and said that shiv first isn't so bad, and is pretty comparable to BotRK, it also prevents awkward weak 2 item timing with BotRK with IE. The only major issue is missing weaker laning phase in comparison to BotRK.
