I'm looking to master a new champ in top lane. I've tried Vladimir for about a dozen games in normals to mediocre success. I don't hate him but I feel too squishy in teamfights specifically and I'm not that great at using the pool at the optimal time I feel like. I've also tried Irelia for about 4-5 games without too much success. I do very poorly early game because I frequently get harassed to death or if not, I get ganked with no escapes. I like her if the game goes on however.
I'm thinking I prefer a very tanky champ that does solid in lane, but can still be a threat in teamfights. I like Shyvana so much because she is a lane bully and is ungankable. There is no frills about her, she just dives in and kills people and is difficult to take down. I bought Renekton recently and think he might be a champ that fits my playstyle but I was wondering if anyone can recommend another champ for me to try out who is not hugely vulnerable in lane and plays like a tank.
Try Mundo. Very similar to Shyvana in a lot of ways, except you trade your hard initiate for poke.

What's the point of being an adult if you can't act like a child?

Mundo's teamfight is even WORSE than Shyvana's, though.
I donno. Maybe Irelia/Jax?

Jinx seems purty strong.
Also I can't help but be a smug prick about SC2's decline after being on this forum back when LoL was just getting started. Still Salty.

And flat out stupid, considering Thorin's interviews are great for promoting your team and brand.
Also this whole Quas/Pobelter thing is really lame.

I probably would be too if my Bo3 ended on that debacle and the last hope for freedom and apple pie died with me. Still, pretty petty.

I'm going to try this perhaps because I play Mundo in the jungle and really like him. With more farm I think I will like him even more. Instead of burnout speed he's got burnout tenacity and indeed he's got poke over an initiate. I'll try him with a few others like Renekton and maybe Jax again.

Maybe one day Pobelter will come up from some obscure team and roll faces.
But hopefully Quas continues to thrive~

With more farm Mundo turns into an unstoppable splitpushing machine, it's actually hilarious what you can get away with once you get sunfire/SV
