It's a shame that jimbz fell out of LCS as he was a great ADC but giants were so scared of everything and would jerk off and do nothing with a 10k gold lead. I don't really think Jimbz was a "great" ADC. He was genuinely A tier when he got Kennen, but his next best champion was wayyyy worse.

Lets just say we took Vayne and made her Vayne-525. Vayne-525 sucks in lane, is probably still a strong duelist, and is slightly weaker in teamfights. To make Vayne-525 as strong as Vayne, you need to buff something. Your suggestion basically means skill is less relevant to her earlygame. I don't even know what that means. (EDIT: I know what you mean. It's just absurd.) You're still going to have to play well to trade with people, if you really think you couldn't improve her laning without turning her into some ridiculous right click killer in lane, I don't think there's much I can say to dig you out of a position that entrenched.

I think what he said, to make a champion viable at such low range, you have to give them such strong stats or abilities to compensate for lack of range. Similar to if you some how made bruiser long ranged champs, they'd be beyond bonkers with their base stats.

I'm just basing my assumptions on my experiences with AD Yi, Fiora, Tryndamere + playing short ranged ADs when low on mana (mostly Graves). Its not that you couldn't improve Vayne's laning without turning her into a facerolling monster, its just that unless you expand her range beyond basic AA range on a spell(condem as a low CD, low mana, skillshot anyone?), she will become more snowbally in nature for every reduction in range. I don't know what you are disputing. What buffs does Ryze need to be good again now that all his spells are 600 range? Probably 20-30% more tankiness and 10% more damage? Would this be that dramatic? Probably not, considering how botlane works, however, Vayne would need to get some free sustain (no AD has that), way more defenses (which makes her all-in-rightclicks really strong), or hyperscaling lategame (aka the "never let a tristana get out of lane less than 30 cs behind").

I wouldn't call him worlds best allaround ADC or anything but have massive respect for anyone who can take a something as nontraditional and wierd as AD Kennen and hone it until you can shit on pros, it was really cool.
