The bigger problem to me is the PC situation, how did Guitar think they would play if they don't have access to a room where they can put their own PCs? They should have either rented at least 4h a day in a lan cafe (ideally while scheduling 3 scrims into that timeperiod). It's a shame they had such a bad experience, but if you ignore the outside problems (living situation etc.) they seem to have had quite a few problems on the team dynamic level as well.

What we can say tho is that it is obvious that mistakes are made and that a lot of the teams seem to have little to no idea what they are getting themselves into when they get to make the move from amateur to pro. It is a big step and there is a lot to consider and players most definitely need professional help to make the transition.

On the one hand it's rather unfortunate that these things have happened, on the other hand I'd reserve judgement until gtr has had a chance to say something about it. Reminds me of the Marn situation as Clinic stated above.

But personally, this doesn't sound so much like "bad" management as it does "inexperienced" management. When you compare their situation to teams that have been long sponsored and established like Curse/CLG/TSM, it looks sorta bad, but not only did they come into the LCS as a new team, they were a really new team in the first place. I feel like some of what has happened may be growing pains, and that VES will find their feet once they get established and set.

Not a whole lot has changed in the last month, aside from maybe the prevalence of assassins in the mid lane. Fizz, Ahri, and Zed are the folks on pick/ban status, with Ori popping up for being safe against them. Triforce users are big again - Jax, Corki, Ez, and even Kog building it with good results.

Whole thing just shouts to me how very, very unprepared the western esports organization really is. But seriously, if you have to sleep 2 days on hard floor and eat whatever junk for a whole week, each and every one of them can blame themselves a bit as well. You can do things on your own as well.

mid is still dominated by assassins such as ahri and zed, with fizz now a top pick even outside of eu. a few durable teamfight oriented champions, including orianna and gragas, are also played strong ganking jungles such as elise, jarvan, and lee sin remain priority picks top continues to see diverse picks. renekton, shen, and jax are the most popular in recent competitive play, but there are many more viable picks at all levels of play including ap champions - namely rumble, vlad, and kennen bot lane has not changed much with the notable exception of corki's sudden resurgence and trinity force becoming the best build on ezreal. caitlyn retains her strengths in addition to matching up well against corki, and vayne is knocked slightly due to her difficulty laning against corki,

By the way, Elise wasn't that impressive in Worlds. I'm not sure what it is but Lee Sin and Aatrox for instance were much scarier in nearly every game. I also wonder what it is about Orianna that always makes her amazing despite all the nerfs she gets and despite being in the shadows for a while. I guess her kit really just does so many things all at once.
