With Fiddlesticks you zone people quite hard at levels 1-2 if they fuck up, you play pussy at level 3-4, and then at 5 your Fear starts being decent so you grow strong again.
Then you mostly play on vision and deny trades because if people jump your AD your Fear will often exceed the enemy cc, cancelling their advantage and letting you get some damage of your own. This is of course assuming you picked Fiddle against something like MF or Vayne (or Cait but that's fucking hard because of her range) who rely primarily on autoing and dps, not Graves or Varus who would 100-0 if you get caught anyway (well Varus doesn't 100-0 you but he's got the cc and range to kill you before you get into Fear range).
I really like roaming mid when we're winning lane and I can use some pinks in the river though, shove or just go ward, and then keep walking till mid instead of walking back to lane and ult that poor sap who didn't stay under his tower. Fid's base damage are so good that it's usually a kill.

I always take drain at level 2 or 3 depending if I am getting poked a bit, but max it last. Maxing fear is just too good.
When I need to drain I try and drain a cannon creep so it's less likely I steel the cs, and if the add is half competent he will be able to last hit your drain.

Who are you playing support Morg against? Like if you are against Sona, or Zyra its not the best idea. Vs. Ali, Leona, Taric, you give them literally 0 lane presence and ranged > melle for bush support if they can't use the cc.

Morgana's matchups against range supports...are kinda bad.
Against melee supports, they're pretty good.

I still remember when I started playing and Morg was considered like ZOMG ridiculous OP. I remember like 1400-1500 elo players getting FB'd by Morg 1v1 and just looking at her kit and being like "But how?"
Morgana has like zero kill potential, and while her teamfight is really strong I think as a support she lacklustre because she cannot really compare to Zyra most of the time. Zyra ult does same as Morg ult but Zyra not a moving target whole time, and then despite the lack of shield your AD usually just stronger because you probably did a lot better in lane.
EDIT: Kind of depressing, I've been a rather mediocre player for a very very long time and seen very little improvement. QQ. Forever 1400.

Its not like that at all. In midlane, you can push to tower early and fast, and then there are no minions to hide behind. Then you can place wards, and "fake roam" then get blind binds, or actually roam. And if you are head in HP you can brute force trades with black shield.
But I agree she is worse than Zyra (except vs. A super dive like Leona/Diana/Naut), but for SoloQ its a fun change of pace if you are against a melle support.
