Daaaang that's way better

They changed her eye color and removed her makeup. its nonsensical she'd wear makeup anyway. I never disagreed that a facial change is bad. When you wanted her to look more psychotic i thought you meant her stance and model, which could make her more difficult to change, and palette changes do affect visibility if done poorly as well

What happened to you as a child?

If riot just put in the same effort it could look even better
|
You know Wave, I think anybody can photoshop a 2 dimensional image of a 3 dimensional model and make it look better.
That said, the model doesn't seem to look nearly as pale as the splash art. The splash art looks pretty albino.

An albino hero would be awesome.

Hello TL LoL. Do you have problems with Riot's lore department as of late? Do the changes to existing stories that you once knew and loved make you upset in your pants?
Well good news? A newly discovered alternative, known as Adventures in Valoran, is soon coming to a Twitch stream near you. With all new stories that totally aren't ripoffs except Soniv's character who is basically Viktor in melee.
Be sure to tune in!

No, he isn't, lol. I mean, he might be, but if so he completely fails at it because he only hits the 'killer clown' archetype and completely fails to rip off the other aspects of the joker, which are numerous and significant. If shaco had been even vaguely a success in that mission they wouldn't be revisiting the concept like this, although, again, I don't think shaco is supposed to be the joker, because I don't think shaco is all that well thought out. They're much better at copying popular archetypes than they used to be.
As for harley quinn, jinx is much more joker than harley. For starters, look at her competence and independence, and her abuse of the public forum (notice how the joker is obsessed with manipulating the media?), or the 'this changes all the rules' backstory.

Riots kind of known for making nods to other lore physically and in skins rather than in backstory/personality, unless its a literary reference. From: http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Shaco/SkinsTrivia
-His story's description of him as "Valoran's first fully functioning homicidal comic" is a direct reference to Tim Burtons's Batman where Joker describes himself as "the worlds first fully-functioning homicidal artist".
-His taunt "Why so serious?" is a reference to The Dark Knight, being the famous catchphrase uttered by The Joker throughout the movie.

Like I said, he might be intended to be, although those references really don't do anything to push me toward that idea, but if so he's a complete failure at it. I'm pretty sure most people don't think of the joker as a midget in plaid, because that contradicts his character traits and his style, which are pretty well reflected in what I'm seeing of jinx.

If you expect deep correlations to be riots goal you'll be disappointed at every step. they only every give a cursory nod to things. Like Alhazred and Malzahar. Fully expect Harley Quinn References in her quotes.
i'm not saying you are wrong about Jinx being more like the joker than Shaco. But don't expect "joker" to be the direction Riot takes. she's going to be Riot's Harley.

She's not only more like the joker than shaco, she's more like the joker than harley quinn is. There's literally nothing pointing in the direction you're thinking of except the fact she's a chick. Every trait she has that HQ has the joker has more of. She's not submissive to her guy and a lunatic (but a ditzy one) with everyone else, she's an unpredictable crime lord with a flair for the dramatic.
