There are rumors that MVP is going to be acquired by Samsung. Is it true? Also, could you talk about the rumors that the SC2 team is being disbanded?
Choi: I can't say specifically, but there are parties we are negotiating with regarding the LoL team. When things are determined, we will announce it. There's no truth to the SC2 team disbanding. We took first place in the regular season of the previous GSTL season, second place in the final rankings, and Duckdeok won the championship at WCS Europe Season 2. Seven of our players (5 in Korea, 2 in Europe) are in the Premier League. I don't know how such a rumor gets out in such a great situation. I would appreciate it if people didn't spread rumors without being absolutely sure. Facebook
It is known that Samsung Khan, one of the longest running e-sport teams in Korea, along with CJ, SKT, and KT, are finally turning the wheels to join their long-time rivals and get into the League of Legends scene. It's been rumored that that they are searching right now for their first League squad. Rumor has it that they are in talks with MVP to pick up one or both of their teams.
Seeing as it's been confirmed by the coach, and I don't see any other party that would be negotiating with them, I think we will see something happen shortly.

Well since it's all based on rumours anyway we might aswell speculate out of our asses: I think it could also be possible that the owner of MVP got such a good offer from Samsung Khan (I'm sure they have deep pockets) that made him decide to sell the team and live the life of a rich man from now on.
I'd actually think it would be really cool if the MVP Ozone roster would be Samsung Khan now and I'd root for them just as much. Although top 5 or so in KR would be purely KeSPA teams then, so meh...
Speaking of sponsors, MVP Ozone/Blue recently (since Spring finals) acquired A LOT of new sponsors, with Expedia being one of them. I have no idea how these contracts work, but wouldn't it be really hard for the organization to just drop everything and sell the team to Khan? I suppose (no idea though) that MVP would need to pay some money back to these new sponsors if they'd just drop the team since the sponsors miss out on the large exposure that they paid for?

Well, I guess thus the negociation. Kespa teams do have sub sponsors, so I think you don't have to worry about them having to drop all of them.

its a different coach. He left the lol team already 2012 and was preparing the dota2 team from that point in time. Dancing coach is still on MVP and the former GSG coach is also still on MVP
So apparently the former MVP Ozone LoL squad changed their name to Hot6ixMVP. Which would mean they scored an even bigger name sponsorship (they were already sponsored by Hot6ix of course, but not as the name). This sounds very KeSPA-esque if you ask me - such a big company being the name sponsor for a team. Must be a clear sign for them actually keeping Ozone but selling Blue to Khan?
It's just my assumption though. They had a showmatch versus a Taiwan allstars team yesterday, where a Hot6ix commercial was shown which starred the members of MVP Ozone and their tags are now Hot6MVP.
Is my assumption right? Because the casters still called them MVP Ozone but their tags are Hot6MVP. I mean, why would they change their nametags from MVP Ozone to Hot6MVP?
Might I ask what Lotte is? Unfortunately I can't manage to google it, because its one of the most common first names in Germany, and all I get are tiny companies or local village sports teams that decided to give themself the name "Lotte"... :D
