Well the term for kickboxing either talks about the sport, or the martial arts. Kickboxing is distinctly different than Muay Thai. All the top fighters are proficient in multiple martial arts. Even things like TKD kicks are used by Anderson Silva, and quite a few others.

well to make it a metaphor every martial art is like a list of LoL champs and just because the set that contains mordekaizer annie teemo warwick and gangplank occassionally see some play with one of those champs that doesnt mean the people using champs like lissandra vayne zac jarvan and shen are more effective

you have to be proficient in many martial arts because you need standup and grappling game

most of his stuff comes from the ones i listed, he started the other martial arts as a kid like most people do, but you dont see him using much capoeria or tkd, just a bare few techniques despite training in it for years. His judo backround is helpful for wrestling and he does muay thai bjj and boxing for kicks/punches and ground fighting

I think using that list of champions is rather facetious, and false. The best MMA fighters incorporate techniques from a wide range of martial arts, even though their base movements/habits are from a core martial arts.

Notice I said "TKD kicks", not "TKD". 2 different meanings.

but since they're using 1-5% other martial arts and 95%+ boxing/muay thai/bjj/wrestling i think its safe to say they are the most "effective", but not necessarily the be all end all

I can't seem to increase the number of pull-ups I can do.

Are there any exercises that aren't pull-ups that help pull-ups?

Repair EUW and I'll think about it.

I prob need to do some workout to gain muscle mass, my skeleton doesn't like my height too much, however I'm not sure if doing random sports activity wouldn't work as well in the long run as doing a specific diet/lifting weights.

Best way to improve pull-ups is to do pull-ups. Is there a particular range of motion your struggling with? I've seen good things said about "grease the groove" when it comes to pull-ups.

If you want to do more pull-ups, do more pull-ups.

Doing pull-ups uses a variety of muscle-- mostly lats, biceps and some other part of your back I forget the name of. You can try doing isolation exercises for those.

Oh yeah, tip: go to the gym with someone stronger than you. The motivation is good.

you need to warm up before doing pullups if you cant do more than 1-2, i think its too straining to start off if you dont exercise all day and suddenly want to lift body weight 10 times in a row, if you do lighter exercises you should easily be able to do more and its easier to work your way up to more then

Yep, I can vouch for this one personally, I lost like 20 pounds two years ago and I attribute a large part of it to cutting out soda.

soda tastes awful too
like water is just naturally sweet, when I'm thirsty and drink some water I just go hhhHMMMMM SO GOOD because it just tastes so sweet and feels right. No idea why would anyone start drinking soda or things like that at all.

Also, if you are in college and have a buffet/cafeteria style eating option, just load up on entrees and stuff. Fill yourself up so you don't get desserts and other sweets.

I'm kind of obligated to drink Coca Cola cuz my college is basically funded by them.

I can vouch for this as well. In fact, if you restrict yourself to drinking only water you can save yourself so many calories. It is so easy consume a plethora of calories through beverages alone.
