It looks like we might have something. Today we started to notice very similar issues on Korean shard, which basically means, that this problem might be client, not platform related. KR shard is now running same 3.7 version of the client, which might finally point our investigation into right direction. Please give us some time to confirm this before I call it a breakthrough. If we're right, then fixing this will be a matter of hours as we can roll back the changes or just release a hotfix.
Also, we plan to remove all penalties caused by disconnects, so the leaverbuster problem (for the period starting on May 18th) should be quickly mitigated.
And obviously we never stopped investigating this, although there was no visible progress to announce.

And even Nami, if you just max Q and shoot it for days, no mana problems to speak of.

Ziggs needs blue more despretly then an addic ever needs their fix. Even chalice won't solve his mana issues.
Once nami gets a chalice shes pretty set for mana for the rest of the game.

If Chalice wasn't as ridiculous as it is, then a lot more champs would require careful mana management.
I don't know of many champions who need to be careful with their mana after buying Chalice/Athenes. Anivia, Lux, Ziggs, Swain, who else?

I played a lot with both, and it's definitely harder to differentiate when blobs are about to time out with Special Weapon Zac.

Anivia and Swain typically don't buy Chalice. Or if they get Chalice they get Chalice and Tear or Chalice and Catalyst.
It's kind of insulting to group champions like Lux and Ziggs in the same category of mana management with champions like Anivia and Swain. Lux and Ziggs won't go OOM late game with blue buff while building two giant mana items. Anivia and Swain will.

I'm stupid anyways. I forgot that since his changes AP Kog is by far the most mana hungry champion in the game. You go OOM every team fight with blue+Seraphs.

By the way, I've been doing a thing when I play Zac. I know this isn't standard but tell me what you guys think about it.
I've been maxing E first instead of W, and then since I have real short cooldown jumps early, I take Exhaust instead of Flash. Then in teamfights I dive into the backline and exhaust the enemy carry before bouncing around.
I think it is a little less damage but a lot more utility early and a better late game.
Thoughts?

If you are talking about jungle maxing e is standart.Maxing w isn't standart on neither top nor jungle.

Viktor big blue hog too (he can't build stuff like chalice, RoA, etc. without gimping his timings and he desperately needs them), once the game goes to late he can against some comps build Chalice and switch to a more poke-y/dps playstyle instead of burst.
LB's super mana hungry in the early game. Syndra could oom herself pretty easily without a chalice or tear because she tends to spam to keep her sphere count high or zone people (same with Orianna), especially during stand-offs.

All of the Zacs at the all stars were maxing W first, from what I saw.

Really?I didn't pay attention to all stars but solo q everyone goes q max top and e max jungle.Also pretty sure they maxed e in jungle otherwise they wouldn't do the insanely long range ganks.
